Three weeks later and I'm at Tosh's house while he weeps on my lap because Hannah just dumped him. Jonas had to leave. My guess is, his brother crying like a 4 year old who just lost a quarter in the candy machine, is too much for him to take. I wish I had the luxury of bolting as well. Tosh's mom, Emma comes in after her long day at the office. She's a Lawyer, and a really good one.

"Tosh, what on earth?" She asks and looks blown away. Tosh is sobbing so hard she looks at me for answers.

"Hannah broke up with him." I say.

"Tell her." Tosh blurts out through a waterfall of snot on my lap.

"She did it in the parking lot after school in front of everyone. Yelled that she felt like she was dating her grandmother." My eyes opened big as I try to help her understand how embarrassing it was for him.

"Oh thank god. I thought somebody died." Emma says as relief washes over her.

"Mom!" Tosh yells.

"Oh Honey, I'm so sorry!" She sits on the couch and pulls her giant man of a son off me and he sobs on her shoulder. Her poor expensive Lawyer clothes can't hold up to that fountain of snot. Oh dear... that was a snot bubble that just came out. That is quite impressive and one day very soon I won't be able to resist making fun of him. I snap out of my reverie and hand Emma the box of tissue she asked for. I never even thought of tissue. She has this gig down. I want to go home, how can I leave? Jonas did....can't I?

"Jax....be a doll and run to the store and get all his favorite treats as well as everything to make his favorite taco's." Emma says rubbing her snot-bubble-blowing-man-sons head like he's still two. I nod that I will. I may have shown too much enthusiasm at the thought of getting away from him and his snot. "There is a couple hundred bucks in my wallet so stock up."

Tosh is for sure a mama's boy. It's one of those things in life that is so obvious it hurts. Jonas is a bit more resilient than the snot-bubble-blowing Tosh. When I walk out the front door Jonas is shooting hoops and drinking a polar pop with his shirt off and he's so sweaty I feel a little bit of barf come up.

"What is that look on your face?" He asks me amused.

"Truth?" I ask and he nods he wants the truth.

"Like we have been friends forever truth or fake friend truth?" I ask bluntly.

"Friends forever." He laughs and tosses the basketball at me and I drop my cell phone to catch it.

"You're just so sweaty I think part of that snickers I ate for lunch started to come up." I scrunch my nose in distaste and he laughs. I throw the ball back at him and bend down to get my phone and when I stand up he throws his sweaty arm pit in my face.

"Ewwwww." I scream and run to my car. "I'm going to the grocery store for your mom. Text me if you need anything."

"I wanna come." He throws the ball over the fence behind his head, without even looking, like the basketball pro he is. He gets in my car without his shirt on and wipes his sweaty face with his shirt and I stare in disgust as he bends forward and I see my black leather seats are getting up close and personal with his rejected body fluids.

"This is literally my worst nightmare." I exclaim and get out of the car and walk into the house and grab him a towel and a gatorade from the fridge.

"Here. There can't be any fluids left in you." I say and hand him both items. "I could've waited for you to shower. Geez....you smell awful."

He laughs. "You love me." He boasts with all his arrogance.

"Tosh blew a giant snot bubble and you missed it." My rejects the memory with a involuntary shudder. "I can't believe you just left me alone to handle that."
