"Hello? Is anyone there?" A feminine voice calls out. He remains silent. To talk or not to do so?
"If you're hurt, please stay put," The voice speaks, kindly, as the footsteps grow closer. He glances at the mess he's left behind. His blood stained the wood crimson red, and the scent of dried blood was strong in the air. They walk closer, and he takes a towel and covers up his wound and finds another to cover his left eye.
He's still using his full focus breaths.
His skin is warm, and he can feel the heat as he holds the blade in his hands.
He should be safe right? Then why was he so cautious?
The figure walks over to the carpet. He's still hidden, the blade in his hand, and he hopes Ren feigns ignorance.
She's dressed in an ash grey outer haori, of which was so long it nearly touched the floor. The ends of the fabric were cut into four separate long strips, and within, he caught the glimpse of light grey boots, with thick straps around the leg, as she wore a darker grey hood on top of her outer kimono over her head, and it was pushed down to reveal black hair tied up in a high ponytail.
She slowly turns behind, and her eyes are violet, tinged with red.
Their gazes meet, as her eyes widen.
"Are you hurt?" She asks, as she reaches a hand out to him. She wore a pair of black fingerless gloves, and a thick long sleeves light grey attire, as she offered her hand to him. He sheathes the wakizashi, as he takes her hand.
He leaves his spot form under the table, as she seemingly inspects him for any wounds. She gestures to his left eye and his covered wounds, and he shakes his head.
"I'm fine haha! Just a minor accident! No worries!" He speaks, touched by her kindness and instinctive need to help. She looks around the room. She stands, as he stands as well, and she moves to close the door and prevent the breeze from entering the cabin.
"Umm.... what happened really?" She speaks, as she gestures at the bloodstained ground.
"A crow flew in through the broken window, and it injured itself! I was helping it!" He continues, as he finds Ren, and picks him up and checks him for any other injuries. She kneels down, as she runs two fingers through the still coagulating blood.
"Are you alright? Did the glass shards cut you or anything? I didn't even know there was a cabin at the top of this mountain....." She continues, voice soft, and he can't perceive or read her emotions. He shakes his head.
"It's fine. I was far enough away from the window," He tries to reassure her, as she steps to him, holding her right hand out again. He hoped she didn't think he was some sort of demon or murderer. He places the wakizashi and its sheathe along his belt, as he gives his own hand to her.
Her hand instead moves up to sweep the blindfold off, as she places a blade against his throat with her left hand.
The eyes of a trained hunter hone in on his own.
"Of course you'd be perfectly fine. You're a demon."
Explanation
'He's still using his full focus breaths.'
- This will come into play later on. The fact that he is able to use his full focus breathes despite being a demon with an opposing element, hints to the fact that he can overcome the demon within him, and press on and retain his human side.
'"A crow flew in through the broken window, and it injured itself! I was helping it!" He continues, as he finds Ren, and picks him up and checks him for any other injuries.'
