He's dragged into the calm, still depths of the lake.
Struggling against the hands around his throat, he kicks as he tries to elbow where the demon's hands and head should be, as the cold robs him of his breathe and he watches his precious air, escape his lungs and he's only dragged down deeper and deeper still.
He's powerless in the water, not able to use his breathe of Flames, before vertigo takes over and he finds himself falling onto cold, hard ice.
It stabs and pierces him, through his legs as he pants heavily, being drenched in the icy water still, which immediately freezes and forms into ice. He wants to go back.
He wants to go back. To his old life. To his mother, to his father, to his brother. To the other pillars.
He clenches his fists. He would return to it.
Kyojuro looks up at the demon, even as his blood freezes into ice in the intense, frigid cold.
Why is it here?
The demon watches him with contempt in its gaze.
How did he become a demon?
Somehow, behind its mask, he can see it mocking him, scorning at his efforts. It radiates distaste, disgust for him. It's alright.
He Hates it too.
The demon's long white hair flutters in the wind, as frost grows from every step she takes towards him. Kyojuro grits his teeth. He doesn't have any weapon. It doesn't matter.
He would kill it with his own bare hands if it need be.
The demon levels a cold gaze at him, and it wears a white hooded cloak which obscures his view from her chest, limbs and any possible weapons. Kyojuro calms himself, as he inhales.
And exhales.
Ignition.
He lunges for the demon. It sidesteps, as he follows up with a leg sweep, twisting his right leg in a curve across the ice as the demon merely dodges back as well, and the ice around his feet begins to melt. Kyojuro springs back up, as the demon backs away from him, and begins running.
Why couldn't he remember how he became a demon?
"Get. Back. Here!" He growls at the damned demon, as the flames fan his anger, and he chases after the demon. He was a demon hunter. He'd make damn well sure he did his job. Running across the ice, some of it melts beneath his feet as he can feel the cold being nothing but a light gust of wind against his skin, utterly harmless as water drips from his body.
He would drag her back and force her to answer him.
Fire courses through his veins.
He needed to know what happened to him.
It strengthens his muscles, increases his reaction time, as the demon flees through a forest of leafless trees. They are but bare, black pillars amongst the white snow, lifeless, dull and hollow. This burning anger is unnatural. Fiery hate, as he watches the trees being set ablaze around him. The heat is blistering, as it melts the snow around him into water, and they are crimson pillars around him.
It empowers him.
His burning desire to find the demon, to kill her, to find out what happened to him, it feeds him.
But it threatens to Comsume him.
An inferno erupts around him, the winds hot, scalding as the snow around him melts and evaporates into steam. The trees turn to ash around him, as the ground beneath him turns scorched, blackened and grey. The fire roars at him, as they threaten to break from his control. He wants it to burn away the demon, to remove the snow. To erase the demon within him and turn into ashes in the wind.
