"I'm so curious as to where you found the flame Hashira."

"Why would I tell you? You tried to kill him the moment you saw him. This information is not for you to know."

"Considering the fact that he died last week, his funeral was held, and coffin buried into the ground, it does prove for a fascinating case, no?" There's a pause.

"You know, they had to repair his sword and they buried him in his uniform. Fitting for a demon slayer, isn't it?"

"The dead don't come back to life."

"Isn't that the most interesting part? He would make such an interesting subject. Too bad you don't want to hand him over. He should be awake and listening to us by now. Have fun with your charge," Kyojuro hears the sound of a cloak being put on, and items being taken.

"By the way, I'd advise you to leave. There's an avalanche that has been predicted to happen in a week or two. By that time, I'm open to taking the two of you in. Our troupe does need a hand or two now,"

Kyojuro opens his eyes as he watches her leave.

He doesn't even know her name.

Masahiko walks over to him, picking up one of the warm towels in the basin as he drapes it over his arms.

"Just rest for now. I'll explain everything later. If you're up for it, do you want to go and take a bath?" Masahiko purposely avoids the topic, as he gestures to the washroom and gently hands him a pile of clothes. Kyojurou accepts it gratefully, as he stands and walks over, limping as he did so.

He still can't walk straight. This frustrated him to no end, but he was going to force himself to be able to walk normally, no matter what he had to do.

Masahiko watches him from behind, sensing his trouble in walking based on hearing the sounds of his footsteps. Removing his bindfold once he heard the door close, he gave a quick glance around to make sure that Kyojuro wasn't going to come walking back in.

He reaches over the bed, and finds the wakizashi, and unsheathes it, finding the blade stained with traces of blood. He frowned.

He sheathed the blade back in, as he left to clean up the bloody mess in the living room.

Explanation

'"Considering the fact that he died last week, his funeral was held, and coffin buried into the ground, it does prove for a fascinating case, no?"'

- This will be very important later on. Kyojuro did die.

'"You know, they had to repair his sword and they buried him in his uniform. Fitting for a demon slayer, isn't it?"'

- His sword was buried with him in its original form. But when Masahiko gives it to him, it is in pieces. The fall was not the only thing that damaged his blade. Something else did.

'"Isn't that the most interesting part? He would make such an interesting subject. Too bad you don't want to hand him over.'

- His attacker has different views of demons. This alludes to her clinical nature, where she sees Kyojuro as a curious plaything for her to experiment on. She also has knowledge of the Demon Slaying Corps and the hierarchy within them, despite the group being notoriously secretive and hidden.
