Y/N p.o.v:
"I like you." You smiled at Dean, hope in your heart that he felt the same. You started to get worried when he didn't say anything and shock was just written all over his face. You're heart began to sink as his face turned to sympathy.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, but I think we should just stay friends. I don't feel that way about you." He said softly. You felt your heart break and tears start to pool into your hazel eyes. You laughed awkwardly and looked up at Dean with a fake smile.
"I get it. Thank you for being honest with me." You said while holding back the tsunami of tears and the painful sobs. Dean smiled sadly and pulled you into a hug.
"I still like you as a friend though." He said. You somehow managed not to break when he said that. Being friend zoned is the worst, but you've done it too so you can't complain much. Doesn't make it hurt any less though. That night you left. You needed time to get over Dean. You still kept tabs on him and Sam by going out to coffee with the younger Winchester. Dean had gone to hell for 4 months, but something saved him. It had been maybe a year since you've seen Sam and you were waiting for him to show up. You looked up as you heard the little bell above the cafes door. You smiled as you saw Sam, but you quickly became surprised as you saw Dean come in with another man. He had disheveled looking hair and electric blue eyes that you could see all the way from your small booth. He was tall, but of course not as tall as Sam or Dean. He was wearing a tank trenchcoat and a suit underneath. He was staring at you for just as long as you were staring at him before Sam's voice interrupted your little eye contest with the man you didn't know.
"Y/N! How have you been?" Sam asked as he approached you. You smiled widely and let him pull you into a tight hug.
"I've been good, Sammy. How about you?" You responded with. Sam sighed and grunted a little as he sat down. He looked over at Dean and the other man before speaking.
"Well, we've been good. Obviously could do better, but with what we do...Yeah, you get it." He said. You nodded while glimpsing at the blue eyed man. You heard someone clear there throat and realized it was Dean.
"That's Castiel." Dean said. You looked at him and nodded before looking back at Castiel.
"I'm an Angel of the Lord." Castiel spoke. His voice was so gruff and so deep. It gave you such a comforting feeling that sent shivers throughout your body.
"And angel? Wow, I didn't know that they actually existed. I guess you're the thing that pulled Dean out of hell?" You asked, wanting to hear him speak again. There was just something about him that made you feel so safe and calm. Something you never really felt with Dean.
"Yes. I gripped him tight and raised-" Dean interrupted Castiel.
"Oh, come on, Cas. You don't gotta say that crap all the time. You were good after the yes." Dean complained. You glared at Dean but you stopped as soon as you looked back at the angel.
"Anyway..." Sam said awkwardly. You turned your gaze to Sam with an apologetic smile. He smiled back and shrugged.
"I have a question." Sam said. You nodded for him to proceed.
"What would you think about coming back?" He asked.A/N:
