Y/N p.o.v:

You covered up the little box with the dirt and waited.
"Hello." A man's voice greeted from behind you. You turned around and took in his appearance. He had sandy, blonde hair and blue eyes. He was smiling and waiting for you to answer.
"H-Hi." You replied. He chuckled before he started walking around you.
"Let me guess: you're here for money, love, fame...those kinds of things, right?" He asked. You just shook your head and looked at the ground with your hands clasped together in front of you. You didn't see it, but he stopped and looked at you with a raised brow.
"Then what?"
"I just really want a friend. Will you be my friend?" You obviously didn't know who you were talking to, but you were about to make a deal with the devil. Gods most loved and the one he banished.
"I've been around for a long, long time and I gotta tell you, this is the first." He said with a chuckle.
"Why not?" He was suddenly in front of you and raised your head with his hand. He leaned forward and kissed you.

For the next 10 years, you got to know Lucifer and not the one who hated humanity. He was actually kind and he cared about you. You had him wrapped around your pinkie and there was no way he'd be undone. He tried not to get attached but as the years went by, he grew fond of you and genuinely liked having you around. You were the best deal he ever made with someone. Sam and Dean never had a clue since this was a new body he was in. However, the day finally came when he had to take you.
"Hey, Y/N? You remember that deal you made 10 years ago?" Lucifer asked. You nodded, the memory almost gone.
"It's time." You looked at him with confusion. He sighed and sat down beside you.
"You know who I am and what I have to do. I hate to do it. You're the very first person to make me hate taking you away from this world. Don't get me wrong, I still want to watch it burn but seeing it through your eyes makes that feeling just a little smaller." He said. You could tell he meant it. You just smiled and hugged him. You know he'd never intentionally hurt you in any way. He was supposed to be your friend after all.
"It's okay. I'm ready, I just have to talk to my brothers." He nodded, allowing you this one last thing before he brought you back to the place you sold your soul to. You walked into the library and cleared your throat to get Sam and Dean's attention.
"What's up?" Dean asked. You smiled sadly and sat down next to Sam.
"You're gonna be mad, but there isn't anything you can do now." You heard the faint growling in the distance but somehow you weren't scared like the other people you've seen that had the same fate.
"Y/N, what did you do?" Sam asked. You sighed and tears started to form.
"Ten years ago I was lonely. Really lonely and this was before we knew about what happens when you sell your soul. Like what happened to you, Dean. I made a deal with Lucifer himself because I wanted a friend. So he became my friend for the price of my soul. You can be mad, you can be upset but right now, I just want to leave knowing I'm loved." Sam and Dean didn't say anything for a while until Sam broke the silence.
"We're here for you for as long as you're here with us." You could hear the pain in his voice and it caused the tears to finally fall. You could hear the dogs more clearly now until you felt their breath on the back of your neck. You smiled and closed your eyes.
"I love you, guys."
"Wait!" You heard Lucifer yell. Sam and Dean looked towards the doorway at the same time you did.
"Come here, girl." You could feel the hellhound go away and heard it's paws on the floor walking towards him.
"I'm supposed to be your friend, and friends don't kill friends. I can't stop the deal, you still have to come with me...but you don't have to die. You deserve to still be happy and I want that for you. I also don't want your brothers to hunt me down because you're in hell in unimaginable pain. I just can't bring myself to treat you like any other soul." He said with full honesty. You smile and got up. You looked at Sam and Dean before hugging them. You walked to Lucifer and that was the last time you'd ever see Sam or Dean. You waved goodbye and left, never turning back.
