I always knew I was different.

I think I even knew when I was little, knew from the way only the brave kids approached me, and only then to ask if they could borrow a pencil.

I was the odd one out, and I had no idea why.

Of course, there were hints. There was the fact that I could make my hair dry in an instant, faster than any normal person. or how my childhood toys would mysteriously catch fire at my touch. but I pushed it away of course as any other teenage girl would. I wanted to be...normal. with the first day of school just around the corner, I dreaded going back there. with no friends, highschool can be living hell.but of course I had to go if I ever wanted to get out of this town.so when the first day back rolled around I got up and walked the whole 5 blocks to Isfeld secondary school.  when I arrived the sound of teens was overwhelming.i walked to my first class of the day art it was the only class I enjoyed "welcome back magnolia" my teacher Mrs.fair smiled at me. "thank you" I let a half-smile play at my lips.i get to work on my drawing Mrs.fair told us today is a free day no assignment. I don't particularly know what I'm drawing yet but it's slowly coming forward golden hair bright jade eyes a slim yet muscular build but the real eye-catching thing about it was the wings so realistic my hand itched to reach out and stroke them.

his angular jaw high cheekbones and shining green eyes. she had met him before.in a dream. his name was jorden. jorden fey. she knew very little about him but he had shown up in her dreams at the end of the last month. and hadn't left since. she put the finishing touches on him and leaned back to admire her handy work when a boy walked into the room. she knew by the golden blond hair the jade green eyes the slight bulk under his shoulder blades where his wings must be folded perectly this was jorden. she was aw struck it couldn't be him! could it? Mrs fair looked up from her desk to the boy standing in front "can I help you?" she asked.in a voice smooth as butter he responded "yes I'm looking for magnolia Greenberry" Magnolia couldn't believe it. all the muscles in her body tensed. this boy this person who had been in her dreams for over a month was standing here asking for her. "magnolia?" Mrs. fair called "do you know this boy?" she nodded "yes" "ok then you may go you are done your drawing yes?" she nodded again "yes" "ok just make sure you get back for your next class or I will have to take this from your grade" "ok Mrs.fair," I said and walked out jorden on my heels.as soon as we left the walls of the school I turned on him "who are you?" he smirked "you know me Maggy" "why are you here?" I put as much hostility into my voice as I can muster. he faked a hurt expression "I thought you'd be happier to see me" but you're not real! she was screaming in her mind. "but to answer your question I am here on the behalf of the council of wieva" he leaned closer "that means fairy" I sigh "don't mess with me an angel boy" "what makes you think I'm an angel?" he asks smirking "your wings" I say matter of factly. "well then what about you magnolia Greenberry? what about your wings?" I stand there shocked "what?" "the feather wings protruding out of your shoulder blades" I feel sick "I don't have wings jorden I never did and I never will"

"Oh but you do," he says "altiuiri" he whispers the word sending shivers up her spine.her shoulders blades ached as a glittery substance circled around her "confn altiuiri" jorden was whispering. his eyes had gone a bright gold. concentration etched onto his features. the pearlescent mist surrounded her completely. stinging slightly as it made contact with bare skin. when the mist cleared she felt unmeasurable wait on her shoulders.she looked behind her and screamed fluffy pearl white feathered wings stretched out of her back. "what wings? huh, Greenberry!"
