B had to leave early Monday morning. He tried not to wake me when he was gathering his things but once he was about to leave my room I woke up.
"B?" I questioned sitting up and rubbing my eyes.
He walked over to me, set his duffle bag down and sat next to me, "Hey, JJ. You should go back to sleep." He said quietly.
I really wasn't aware of what was going on, "Where are you going?" I asked yawning.
He smiled at me, "I have to leave now, JJ."
"But I don't want you to go." I said sadly.
"I have to." He took my hand in his.
"Please don't leave me." I begged as I felt tears trickle down my face.
B wiped away my tears but they kept coming, "Jamie, I can't stay here. I have to go."
I cried more and he pulled me to his side. I cried into his jacket and he just held me to him.
"I don't want to leave, Jamie, trust me. I'm gonna miss you so much." He hugged me tight and I hugged him with just as much love, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Please promise me that you'll come back." I choke out as I buried my head in his neck and held him closer.
"I promise," he tried pulling away but I held him tighter, preventing him from going. He sighed, "Jamie..." He said my name and I started to cry louder, letting all of my emotions out.
"Please, B! It hasn't felt the same without you here by my side! I need you now more than ever! Everything hur-ts... Pl-ease... I re-ally need y-ou." I started to hiccup between words as I tried to hold onto him but my arms grew weak.
My arms were dangling from him, my hands on his shoulders keeping my arms up. He didn't speak. He didn't move. He let me cry.
It's not like he enjoys hearing me cry. He does it because he knows it's better for me to get it out rather than holding it in. He told me that whenever he sees me cry he just wants to make me stop because it pains him to see me like that.
Once we were hanging out with one of his friends and I had a break down because my puppy had just passed away from being too sick.
His friend tried to tell me not to cry, in a nice way, and told me it was going to be okay. But B stepped in and said,
'No, it's alright. He needs to cry it out. It won't be good to bottle up anything.'
I started to chuckle as I remembered all the funny times me and B shared. I started laughing and just started sniffing in between every laugh.
"Have you finally gone crazy?" B asks as he giggles lightly.
I hit him on his chest wholeheartedly as my laughter dies down and I'm just smiling, "I'm gonna miss you, B. We're gonna miss you." I say referring to my parents.
I took my arms off him and pulled away. I slouch as I look down in my lap, fiddling my fingers together.
"I'm gonna miss you too," He lifts my chin up gently with his fingers as I looked up at him, "I'm gonna miss all of you. Especially you." He said while bobbing me on my nose.
I giggled and laid my head on his chest, "You don't have to leave. You can stay here with us, and if the police come looking for you we can go in hiding and start eating fast food and peanut butter for dinner. And then if we have to go on the run and hide in a cave then we can just eat leafs or bugs, or something." I said softly as I felt myself fall back to sleep.
I heard him laugh and he started to play with my hair as he knew I was falling asleep, "I would love to go in hiding and on the run while eating bugs. Peanut butter, and leafs, Jamie. I would love to with you guys. You are my other family, JJ, and I love all of you."
