Forget Him

Just stay strong. Always stay strong. Don't forget, Mom loves me, Dad loves me, B loves me. And that's enough.

Just stay strong.

I don't need Ryan, even though it hurts like hell, what he did. I don't want that in my life. I just want to be happy and if it's without him then oh well.

I sigh and I hear the door slam downstairs then open and close again. They left. Well, I'm glad they came up here to check on me.

Sarcasm, my favorite.

"Jamie!" Mom yelled from downstairs, "Come on you're still going to school!"

I groaned, "really!?" I yelled back.

"Yes, now hurry up! I do have errands to run you know!"

"Can't I just come with you!? You know that you get through your errands faster with me!" I heard her groan because she knew I was right.

Mom doesn't like doing errands by herself. She prefers to have someone go with her to, calm her down from the stress, to have company, and it takes a load off if there's more than one brain.

"Fine, come on!" I smiled relieved that I don't have to deal with the drama that's most likely going to be at school.

I went downstairs and she was waiting by the door with papers in her hand, her wallet and keys.

"I have to go to the office real quick first to drop off some papers, then go to the store to get some food, then I have to go to your grandma's house to help her cook dinner today for dinner tomorrow, oh by the way our relatives are going over to her house for dinner tomorrow, I forgot to tell you, then I have to go back to the office to pick up more papers and file some papers there as well. Then that's it." She gave me her summary of what she was going to do by herself and my mouth dropped.

My mom is a fucking badass.

"Um, that's a lot." I say grabbing my jacket by the door and putting it on.

"Yeah, we should start now if we want to make it back home before dark." She said unlocking the door and heading outside.

I follow her and she closes and locks the door. We go to the car and she starts the car up and pulls out the driveway. Yeah, she's rushing.

Whenever she backs out the driveway when she just gets right in, she's rushing.

When we got to her office she told me to stay in the car because 'It will only be a few minutes' yeah no, I was waiting in the car for about half an hour.

When she got back in the car I glared at her, "'It will only be a few minutes'" I mocked.

She laughed, "Shush, your fine." I stuck my tongue out at her and she rolled her eyes and shook her head.

We make it to the store and Mom seems more relaxed, this is the easy part.

We're walking through the cereal aisle when Mom's phone rings.

"Hey... Right... Thursday...Yeah, they changed my schedule... 8 to 10:30...Yeah it's a lot of hours but I can manage... That's fine... Bye." She hung up and sighed.

"You okay, Mom?" I asked concerned, she seemed tired.

"No not really. I have more hours at work, I'll be home less and at the office more."

"Mom, I don't think that's healthy."

"It's not, but being an adult sometimes isn't healthy."

I hated seeing my mom like this. Mom and Dad work so hard for me and they try to keep me happy. I want to return the favor but I can't really do much but I'll try.
