Jamie's POV
________________________________

B and I talked all night as usual until I had to go to bed for school tomorrow. When we were talking he wasn't really focused, as if he was entranced. It was strange and anything but normal for him, for us. I wonder what's going through his head, I guess I'll never know until I ask.

I was awoken up from B shaking me awake. I slowly opened my eyes and groaned, "Ugh, what?" I murmured.

"You're gonna be late for school if you don't get up." B says still trying to get me up.

"Okay? So what's the problem?" I grab one of my other pillows and throw it at his face and lay my head back down.

"Jamie." Brandon says lowly, meaning he's serious.

I shot up and climbed out of bed, "I'm up, I'm up!"

"Good, now since you're most likely gonna miss the bus, I'll be taking you to school." B says heading out of my room.

I celebrate in silence knowing I won't have to take the bus where it's loud, uncomfortable, and overall annoying. I don't need a headache early in the morning and teenagers already yelling in the back of the bus; it's why I always sit in the front but it doesn't do much. How do people have that much energy anyhow? Never mind that, I have to get ready.

Today at school Katy wasn't here because she was out sick which meant I wouldn't have anyone to talk to or hang out with, which also meant that I was alone all day. For English class it was normal, I stayed after class for a little bit to talk to Eric which we were both happy about. Then it was time for me to head home, after I gave Eric a kiss goodbye and collected all of my things.

Surprisingly, B came to pick me up as well. I walked to the front of the school and saw B in his car talking to someone. I couldn't really see who the person was but I continued to walk anyways. As I got closer to the car I could tell it was someone with blond hair but that was it. I opened the car door and hopped in the back seats,

"Hey, B." I say getting comfortable and putting my backpack next to me.

"Hey, JJ. This is Owen, the guy I told you about." B informs.

As I finished buckling my seatbelt I looked up and moved over a bit to see him, "Oh, hi. I'm Jamie, it's nice to meet you." I greeted nicely.

"You too." Owen responded nonchalantly.

I got a weird feeling from him but I couldn't place my finger on it. I shook the thought off and sat back correctly in my seat. B pulled off and started talking to him again, completely ignoring me.

I don't know about Owen, he just doesn't sit right with me. I'm not jealous that B is talking to him or giving him more attention, I just don't know why Owen gives me these bad vibes.

Do I tell B about it or should I just ignore it? I don't know. I'll let it go this time, it could be nothing and I'm just overreacting, he could be a really great guy and I just have to get to know him. Yeah.

All the way home they talked, and talked, and talked, God, don't they need to breathe?!

I was done listening to their conversation a long time ago, my headphones were in and my music was up high. The longer they talked the more Owens voice got annoying, I'm trying to like him, I really am. Look, I have no problem with Owen, yet, I don't mind anything about him but I just can't seem to like him for the life of me. And I'm trying!

I don't care about the way he greeted me, really I don't, but the way B just doesn't acknowledge anything that seems weird about Owen is mind boggling to me. There's nothing wrong with being weird but I'm talking about the negative weird.
