When I woke up I was really regretting not going to sleep earlier last night. I was so tired. I tried to lose the foggy feeling in my mind and went to take another cold shower. Just to wake up.
As I showered I started thinking about the day. Would Jungkook be there? If he was, should I say something? Do I ask him about Yoongi? I didn't know what to do, but I knew I had to get out of the shower.
The rest of the morning went like a haze where I couldn't pay attention to anything. I just wanted to get to work. That was what my mind finally settled on. I wanted to see Jungkook. For some reason, I felt sure he could make me smile. Really, just the thought of him put a smile on my face.
So, I entered work excited, for the first time in years. It wasn't as if my work was really boring or anything. You just got used to it quickly. Still, you get used to everything and then I suppose nothing will ever be exciting.
I shook my head to stop my thoughts turning dark and went inside the building. The smell of cooking food hit me immediately, and I felt my mouth start to water. It smelled like perfect steak, roasted vegetables and cooking rice all at the same time. It almost made me regret not eating breakfast. Almost.
It didn't take me long to find him. He must have arrived at work super early because even I was early now. I wondered why. Is it because he really likes the new job? Or was it something else entirely?
His eyes quickly met mine, and he shot me his blinding smile. I blushed and looked down, feeling extremely silly. Why did I get so easily embarrassed? Though my head was turned downwards I could feel Jungkook's presence as he came towards me.
"Hi!" he said with a warm smile. I looked up and got a little lost in his eyes. "Hi". "Ready for work?" he asked. "Yeah, I guess" I answered timidly and felt my heart speeding up for no reason at all. The strange part was that I was used to feeling my heartbeat, but this time I wasn't nervous. At least not the same kind. Normally I would feel like there was something stuck in my throat, but now I just felt butterflies stirring in the pit of my stomach.
"Of course" I answered and smiled brightly back at him. He seemed almost a little shocked but quickly gathered himself. "Great" he answered after a little while. I just nodded back at him, feeling a little awkward, but at the same time completely relaxed.
Just then we heard the cooks yelling for us to start working. We both jumped a little, before laughing a little. "Shall we?" I asked, daring to look up at his face again. He really was tall. Or at least a lot taller than me. Again his beauty blinded me. I felt like I could look at his face all along and still never get tired. Even now, I noticed new details. He had a small mole on his neck, and it matched mine perfectly. How strange that we would have moles at the same place. It was really kind of adorable.
"Yeah, let's go," He said and started walking. I felt my heart flutter a little bit when I saw how his hair bounced a little as he walked.
Work went without any complications, and suddenly I found myself past closing time.
I was just putting on my jacket as somebody came behind me. "Hi," the voice said, and I immediately noticed Jungkook's voice. Of course, it was Jungkook. I smiled a little to myself before turning around.
I was a little shocked when I saw what he was wearing. Earlier he had always been wearing either an apron or a jacket, but now he was just in casual clothes. My eyes roamed across his chest before I could stop them. He was wearing a tight-fitting sweater emphasizing his muscular body. It was black just like it was in my dream, but it wasn't a turtleneck. It was a v-neck making it look even sexier.
"Jimin?". "Jimin!" he said a bit louder and shook his hand in front of my face. I snapped out of it and looked at his face. He had a smirk on his lips, probably finding the whole situation beyond amusing. I cleared my throat and said, "sorry, what were you saying?". He laughed a little. "I just said hi". "Oh, right y-yeah hi, sorry I zoned out a little". "I was just wondering...." he said, looking nervous. "What?". "I was just wondering, i-if you wanted to do something," He said, laughing awkwardly. "O-oh," I said, really surprised. "I-it's okay if y-you don't want to," he said, looking down. "I was just wondering". "I'd love to" I answered enthusiastically. "R-really?" He said looking a lot happier.
"Yeah, of course" I answered, smiling a little. "Where do you wanna go?". "Hmm. Well, there's this coffee shop not far from here that has the best banana milk" He suddenly said. "Banana milk?" I asked. "Yeah, it's delicious," he said, already looking forward to it. "Well, let's go then". His eyes lit up brightly.
Oh no. I had to watch myself. I didn't want him to get any ideas. He couldn't possibly understand, but there was no way that I could let anyone close to me. I couldn't possibly bear even the thought of destroying someone else's life too...
