Party?

"Grow up," I said harshly. The face in front of me looked sad and angry. It looked like a sad person, forcing himself to be angry. "Stop being so stupid," I mumbled to the face in the mirror. My face.

The day had gone like a blur. I hadn't really done much except lying in the bed. The episode earlier that morning didn't exactly make me more enthusiastic about the party, but I knew I had to go. Knowing my friends would become worried, and I didn't really want to deal with their questions now. A small part of me wanted to go. A very small part.

Taking a deep breath, I left my apartment, not quite ready to face other people yet. Once again, I took up my phone to check the address Yoongi sent me. It was ridiculous, and I knew that but I didn't want to seem stupid to the driver, so I always memorized addresses before going into the car.

Feeling sure that I remembered it this time, I walked out of the building. It was 6 pm, on a Saturday, so traffic was slow. Still, it didn't take me long to locate a taxi and signalize it. It skidded to a stop in front of me, and I got in remembering the address perfectly.

It was hard, not to feel ashamed of what happened earlier that morning. I had woken up, really happy, actually, but then I started to cry as if I was a small child. Cringing to myself, I took out my phone and checked the new messages.

I'm so excited!!!

This will be so much fun :))))))

From: Jinmama

Are you sure about that?

From: RM

Come on, Jin, I know you're a bit mad that you weren't allowed to bring the food you cooked, but it'll be fun going out too.

From: Jinmama

Oh yeah?

Say that to my uneaten dumplings!

From: Taetae

Well, you could always bring it for breakfast tomorrow?

After all, I'm sure we'll all be really tired and hungry after being out all night.

From: Jiminie

Wait, we're not staying at Yoongi's place??

I already told the driver the address!

Now he'll think I'm really stupid!!!

From: Taetae

Hey hey hey

Chill, you're supposed to meet us at Yoongi's

I furrowed my brows, looking down at the screen.

From: Jiminie

But you were talking about going out...

From: Taetae

Yeah, it was supposed to be a little surprise, but no matter.

We're going to a party.

I felt my heart rate pick up as I read Taehyungs text.

A party?

I was never really a party person, as I had some problems with loud music, and especially all the people that were there.

Just the thought of all the warm clammy bodies pressed together made me uncomfortable, and I felt a bit of the old claustrophobia come back.

I looked down at the screen again.

From: Taetae

Don't worry Jiminie, it will be fun

From: Jinmama

Yeah, we'll look out for you, so don't worry.

I turned my phone off abruptly, stuffing it back in my jacket.

...

A couple of minutes later, the taxi was parked outside of Yoongi's apartment and studio. It still made me wonder, how he could possibly want to live at the same place that he worked?

I paid the taxi driver, and he seemed a little anxious to get me out of the car. Probably hoping that I forgot the change.

I didn't but decided not to ask about it anyway, because I didn't want to start a fight.

Yoongi didn't live too far away from me, but I didn't want to walk the distance. His apartment was in a pretty nice building, pretty much in the middle of downtown, and the protection was great. Not that he needed it really. Yoongi is terrifying when he's mad, and you never wake him unless you want to die. That is until you get closer to him though. Then he's as soft as butter. Especially with the ones that he really loved. I remember his last boyfriend, it felt as if I got a cavity just by watching them.

I walked up at the door and started searching for the right doorbell. After looking at a few I saw the right one. The ring sound was like a distant bell, I could hear it even through the door. "Hello?" the voice came a bit muffled through the speaker.

"SUUUUUUUUUUGGGGAAAAA!!!!" I yelled as loud as I could. After I finished I heard a small sigh and some laughing in the background. "Yes?" said the voice. "Let me in," I said. "Yeah, yeah" and then the door opened. I was just about to step in when I heard a chuckle behind me. Oh no. Please, don't be who I think it is.

Of course, it was Jungkook. He looked like he was really trying to contain his laughter but some of it got out. Now he had it straightened out into a poker face, but still, you could see the laughter in his eyes. I looked away blushing. "Hi," he eventually said and walked towards me. "Hi," I answered and held the door open for him. That meant I had to stand in the doorway, and it got a bit tight as he walked in at the same time. I felt his chest meet mine, and I was pushed a bit hard into the door behind me. It didn't really hurt but my face twisted uncomfortably. "Oh, sorry" he mumbled awkwardly. "No, it's okay, I just hit the edge a bit," I said back and smiled timidly towards him. He smiled back. "Shall we go up? I bet they're waiting". I nodded and walked beside him. Yoongi lived on the top floor. I asked him why he wanted to walk all those stairs every day because there wasn't a working elevator, and he answered that the view would always be worth it.

We stood outside Yoongi's door, and I raised my hand to knock at the door. At the same exact time, Jungkook did the same, and we knocked simultaneously. Our eyes met and we smiled a little, before blushing and looking away again. God, why do I feel so silly with him? Why can't I be as confident as he seems? The party was long forgotten.
