Chapter 7

"Well, here we are. My warm house" Danny said relieved that she was in warmth again and she sat down on her couch. She motioned Alice over to her and Alice sat next to her and asked, "So what did you want me to have?".

"Here," Danny said as she handed Alice a small box and when Alice opened the box.

She squealed and said, "It's amazing! How did you know I liked these?" and hugged Danny tightly.

"I knew you liked sweets and one day when we were on break, you said that you wanted to eat them, but couldn't find them, so I looked for them for you," Danny said while hugging Alice back.

"You are too kind Danny! Now I feel bad" Alice said while looking down.

"Why? Danny asked wanting to know why her friend was upset.

"You got me an amazing gift and I didn't get you something as amazing" Alice admitted.

"It's okay. You went through the trouble of getting me something, so that is enough for me" Danny said, trying to cheer her friend up.

Danny encouraged Alice to give the gift without feeling bad and when she finally gave it, Danny said, "It's so pretty! Did you make this your self?".

"Yeah, I did. It's not that good." Alice said sadly.

Danny said, "Don't say that! It is amazing. You have a real talent for making these types of things. Why don't you make more?".

"You are being too kind to me Danny," Alice said while hugging her friend again.

They decided to watch a movie while they enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace. When the into of the movie came on, Alice decided to make some popcorn to share. When she got to the kitchen, she heard Danny exclaim, "Oh my goodness! We need to go now!".

"What why? What happened?" Alice asked worried about a running back to the living room.

Danny exclaimed, "Mark is going on a rampage and he is hurt!".

"What?!" Alice asked confused.

"No time to explain. We need to go now!" Danny said while putting her jacket on.

They both got in Danny's car and rushed to the asylum. When they got there, Danny ran in and saw a group of people trying to hold Markdown, but failing and a familiar person he seems to be trying to attack. "Mark! What are you doing?!" Danny yelled.

Mark looked at her and said, "He needs to be punished for his actions".

"What did he do?" Danny asked while trying to get near him.

"He tried to near you. I can't allow that" he said as he broke free of the workers grasp easily and walked towards the familiar individual until Matt tackled him to the ground and said, "You need to stop trying to hurt him!".

"Don't tell me you forgive him. Not after what he did" Mark said annoyed from being tackled.

"What's going on?!" Danny asked confused.

Mark asked Matt, "You didn't tell her? I thought you would tell your sister what you did".

"Stop talking Mark" Matt growled.

"Shut up! Both of you!" Danny yelled and everyone was shocked that she raised her voice and she said, "Sorry for yelling, but what is going on?".

"Tell her or I will" the man Mark was going to attack said, "Oh sorry let me reintroduce, myself. I am Charles Allit, a friend of Matt. Well, he isn't that fond of me because I am honest and he won't accept the truth".
