Chapter 12

  She left thinking, 'I wonder what his name could be that bad that I would see him as scary and I feel I have known him from even before yesterday. Maybe the father mentioned him when I was young'. She continued working normally until one day she got a call from the hospital saying that her father was injured while at work. She ran to Sebastian's office and opened the door while saying, "Please pardon the interruption, but my father was badly injured while at work and-".

"No need. I understand and I'll drive you there myself" he insisted and got up. They left for the hospital while Liz fidgeted with nervousness.

Sebastian looked at her and said, "Don't worry, I promise to help you in any way I can".

"Thank you, but why are you doing all this for someone you barely know?" Liz asked confused.

Sebastian laughed then said, "Usually no, but we were actually childhood friends".

"Really? How come I don't remember you?" Liz asked forgetting about her anxiety for a moment.

"I have changed quite a bit since then. You used to call me 'Silly Sebastian' " Sebastian said laughing.

"Wait. That was you?" Liz asked shocked.

"As much as I would love to catch up with you, we are here. I will wait at the front desk for you" Sebastian said while getting serious.

"Thank you so much for everything"Liz thanked.

"No problem. Now go see your father" Sebastian said while sitting down near the front desk.

Liz rushed over to the Lady and before she could say anything, the lady said, "You must be Lizbeth. Your father is the 5th door on the right".

"Thank you" Liz replied while running to her father's room.

"Dad! What happened to you?" Liz exclaimed when she saw her father covered in injuries.

He looked up and replied, "I was shot at work and fell down a hill right after. The doctors said I didn't break anything and I should be fine in a month or two. I won't be able to continue running over things, so I am placing g you in charge of things Lizbeth. Maybe you and Sebastian can accomplish peace between our families".

"I will try my best," Liz said with a small smile.

"That's my girl. Now I better get some rest before your mother gives me a talking to" he said with a dry laugh.

"Alright, get well soon," Liz said while giving her father a hug. She soon left her him, so he could heal.

Meanwhile, Sebastian was waiting for Liz when he got a call from one of his men and he stepped out of the room for a short while. He answered coldly, "What is it?".

"Well you are not going to like it, sir," they said hesitantly.

Sebastian spoke slowly, "I will ask again. What is it?".

"We accidentally shot the leader of the Hueston family and badly injured him," they said scared.

"Do you realize how major what you idiots did?" Sebastian asked.

"Yes," they said quietly.

"You better hope that our plans are not ruined or else you will pay with your life" Sebastian threatened.

"Yes sir!" they said quickly.

"Now turn in your weapons or I will use them on you guys" he threatened even more before hanging up and heading back inside where he met up with Liz.

Liz said, "Since your last name is Sutcliff so please come with me to my company's main building".

"Sure, but may I ask why?" he asked shocked.
