Chapter 21

  As Danny prepared for Chester's fiance to arrive, he went to his room since he was tired and looked at himself in the mirror and thought, 'Danny is right. Lack of sleep does a number on my appearance. This badly affects my image to the public'.

"Chester? Are you feeling okay?" Danny asked from the doorway.

Chester looked at her and said, "Yes. Just a bit tired. I'll be fine after a while".

"If you need anything, just ask. No matter how silly or unimportant it may seem. Your health is my priority as well," Danny said while looking sadly at Chester.

"Thank you, but I promised you information on the enemy. Intel has told me that they have been receiving large shipments and we are currently trying to figure out what it is. I own the harbor, but due to laws, I can't find out what is in them as easily as I would like," Chester said while looking up at Danny.

"Thank you. I will report that. All preparations are done. If you need anything, I will be in the library doing more research," Danny said while smiling and then left the room.

She called Liz and said, "Hey. I found out that the enemy is getting large shipments from the harbor and due to the laws, it won't be easy to find out what is in the shipments,".

"Shipments? What could they need those for?" Liz asked while thinking hard on what could be in the shipments.

Danny sighed and said, "I am not sure, but we are working on getting that information".

"That's good. How's Britain?" Liz asked to change the subject.

"It is good. The earl isn't that controlling. He is letting me take a break since I finished making preparations" Danny said happily.

"At least he is treating you right" Liz said with relief.

"How are the boys?" Danny asked, curious about what they were doing.

"Sebastian and I went back to work. Mark is now working for your family with Matt," Liz said while smiling.

"Mark is working now? That is amazing!" Danny exclaimed.

"Matt said you would be happy about him working," Liz stated.

"Of course I am! He finally is able to work around people now. I know that seems mean, but before he couldn't stand even looking at another person without wanting to strangle them. This is a major improvement" Danny said happily and she said she was going to call Mark to check in with him and then hung up the phone.

Before Danny could even find his number, he called and Danny laughed while saying, "You didn't even let me have a chance to call you".

"You took too long to check-in and your parents are annoying," Mark said with a huff.

Danny laughed and replied, "You are really impatient, but on that note, you are working now! I am so happy for you! You are getting better!".

"I guess. I kind of need a job to have money for food" Mark stated blandly.

"That is my point. You no longer think that you can survive without a job. You no longer get angry when someone makes eye contact" Danny said proudly of his progression.

"I never did that" Mark denied.

"Oh yes, you did. You did with Matt, Alice, and Sebastian and now you are good friends with all of them" Danny stated.

"Alright, I guess I was a bit hostile around new people, but that doesn't happen as much anymore. Only when people have a horrible first impression" Mark said in his defense.
