'What is this place?' Matt thought as he walked down the stairs of the building, 'This place is not somewhere to get better. This looks like a place from a horror movie.'. He walked down the poorly lit hallway and stopped when he saw Mark sitting in the corner of a room so he unlocked the door and walked in. "Hey. Come on, we're leaving now." Matt said quietly and Mark didn't respond. Matt sighed quietly and went to gently grab Mark and lead him out of the dreary room and said, "We are going to make things right with Danny and for the next month, you are going to stay with me and if you don't get better, you can't go back to this place".
"Why would I want to back here?" Mark asked bitterly.
Matt replied, " Danny wants to see you get better. Don't you want to see here happy again?".
"What's the point? She's upset with me and never want's to see me" Mark asked weakly while walking slowly.
"Well you kind of don't have a choice and you and I both know that Danny is a forgiving person and if she sees you getting better, then she will forgive you," Matt said trying to cheer Mark up. Mark slowly followed Matt through the halls and workers started staring at him so Matt said, "If you have time to stare then you should be doing your job. Mark is my responsibility and if you have a problem, then you can speak to me" and everyone instantly looked away.
They went to Matt's car and drove to Matt's house. It was a silent ride until Mark suddenly asked, "Why?".
Matt asked, "Why am I helping you?" and kept looking ahead.
"Yeah" Mark answered.
"Well I care about you and so does Danny. I know it seems like I am only doing it for Danny, but I am not. You are the only one who knows my secret and doesn't judge me negatively. I want to help you" Matt said before slowing down. They were at a stoplight so Matt hugged Mark and said, "I don't care if people think we are gay or weird since everyone deserves a hug when they are upset. You are no exception Mark so don't fight me".
"You are really interesting Matt. No one, but Danny thought that" Mark said before signaling that the light turned green.
"Wow you have seen better days", Charles' boyfriend said while looking at the bruises on Charles.
Charles said, "It was Mark and Matt's fault. They both were being stubborn and wouldn't follow the plan" and winced when he accidentally hit a bruise on a table.
"I'm sorry Charles. They don't realize the consequences of not listening to you. They will learn what happens to people who don't listen. Last time you had Matt on your side when you taught those people at the last asylum a lesson, but now he went all ' I am not like that anymore'. It's not that easy to change who you really are" Andrew said while helping Charles stand.
"I guess you are right Andrew. He'll learn soon enough..." Charles said weakly.
"What's wrong?" Andrew asked while catching Charles from falling over.
"Mark got a good punch to my gut," Charles said before coughing up some blood in his hands then said, "I'll be in my room. Dying in a less painful way".
"Sleeping. Got it" Andrew said before thinking, 'Those brats will pay for hurting Charles like this. I'll take the thing that gives them a reason to live, their darling Danny and sees them suffer trying to get her back. I don't see why they are so attached to her, she doesn't seem like anyone special'. "I'm going out for a bit, so don't wait for me to get home to eat. Bye" Andrew said to Charles from the doorway and Charles only nodded in response.
Andrew drove his way to Danny's house and walked in without knocking. He didn't expect to get a knife thrown at the side of his head, so when it was, he barely had time to move his head. Danny seemed beyond angry and asked, "Why are you in my house? My friend is currently trying to sleep".
