Chapter 30: Alive and Kicking

Meggy POV

It's been two months since the battle against Francis. I was currently looking at myself in the mirror. I had just starting to get used to my new human body, and all it has given me so far. Firstly, I can now swim in water and not just the pool, giving me more reason to learn how to swim.

I had grown a bit taller too. Now I'm at least up to Y/n's chin, when I used to be at his chest. I put my hands on my breasts, those had grown as well. While they are bigger than Tari's now, I'm still no where near Saiko's size.

But of course, with my bust size bigger now, all my clothes became a little small. So that's one thing I'm still mad about, getting a whole new wardrobe. At least now I had something to one up Desti in.

Her and Akechi had started officially dating a few days after the battle. Luigi went into a Palace with Y/n one day, and turns out he too has a Persona. Johanna. He also became a lot more braver. Guess he got tired of being pushed around. King was his codename. Saiko was also VERY happy with his new confidence.

Well, if I'm going to be talking about relationships, Y/n and I are still doing great. Of course he still beats himself up over not getting to me sooner, but I keep telling him that it's ok. One day he asked me if I thought he was a monster, since he killed Francis.

Obviously I said no. But it makes sense he would think it. Y/n would be the guy to kill someone, with a good reason, but still feels guilty. But that makes him human.

I over heard him and the others talking one day, they were talking about what they were going to do when this is over and Mementos is taken care of. What Y/n said made me the happiest girl alive.

He said the first thing he was going to do was propose to me.

It took a lot to just not run up and jump into him shouting yes, but for now I'll just wait. People may ask, are you going into that kind of commitment too early? Probably, but after all we've been through, it makes sense. Plus time and time again, Y/n proves time and time again how loyal he is, so I know he won't cheat on me.

And I'd rather die than be disloyal to him. I started paying attention to the TV in my room.

News Caster: Earlier today, someone suspected as the leader of the notorious Phantom Thieves of Hearts, was put into custody today. Detective Goro Akechi is responsible for the arrest and...

The Caster stops as he was being told something.

News Caster: Ahem. Reports have just came in. It seems that the suspect has just committed suicide while in custody. From what was said, the suspect took the guards gun, and killed him. Akechi was injured and the suspect shot himself.

I didn't listen to the rest. If anyone else were in the room, they'd ask why I seemed so calm. It's simple really.

This was Y/n's plan.

With Mementos coming into this world, they tested if we could somehow bring in a cognition of someone. And we could. So Y/n took Mario's original idea of being gone, and decided to fake his death.

Of course I was scared though, what if it didn't work? What if Y/n actually died? Well, I wouldn't know for a while. Desti was also scared since, to make it seem real, Akechi had to really shoot himself in the shoulder. So yeah, for so much emotional distress, they owe us one.
