"This girl sparks my sadistic side."
― ShinjirōThe next morning, I was allowed to enter my room- no the space that my "belongings" were housed.
I took a hot shower, trying to burn away all the dirty memories of last night away.
Alas, the only thing I burned was my skin.
When I stepped out of the shower, I brushed my teeth and then got dressed, wearing my school uniform. I took a look in the mirror and looked at my hair.
The colourful hair was my way of rebelling against my family and their oppressive culture.
But now when I look at it, all I could think about was Octy and the way she'd call me Rainbow Monkey.
I held back a chuckle.
Then I remembered what she said.
"Fix your hair color and maybe I'll stop."
I laughed.
Maybe I will, Octy.
At first, I just wanted someone to torment, but she turned out to be the tormentor.
But unlike my family, I was drawn to her cause I felt like she was being tormented as well.
Just that she was damned good at hiding it.
I examined my body. The hickeys from last night ran across my neck. I sighed sadly, buttoned my shirt to the top and straightened my tie.
Then I pulled my hair back into a ponytail and removed my earring.
I looked like a stuck up brat who was going through puberty.
Sighing in frustration, I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs.

When I got downstairs, I nodded at the people I called my family and was about to leave when my father's voice stopped me.
"Have breakfast with us," he said.
I rolled my eyes and was about to leave when Dinah spoke.
"That was an order Refael," she said.
"Whether I obey or not, you'll punish me anyway. I'll buy something for breakfast," I said.
Not bothering to hear any of their nonsense, I walked away.
I needed to move out of that house.
But first I needed to get on my feet.

When I got to school, it was dead silent at 7:45.
Which meant that she was making her rounds.
Click-clack.
The sound of her heels hitting the tiles was the only thing that could be heard.
I smiled as the tension intensified with each click.
"Octy," I said, pulling her into a hug.
I felt her still in my embrace, before hugging back.
Everyone gasped.
I smiled, hugging her tighter.
We stood like that for a while before pulling away.
"You're rather happy to see me," she remarked, smiling.
Her hair was pulled into two puffs, with yellow hairclips on each side. Her uniform was back to normal, though I kinda missed her conservative look from yesterday.
