Leo's POV

I was on the way to score a sweet reservation for our lunch when I got the news.

I sped off to the hospital.

Never thought I'd see myself in such a frantic state.

I was yelling, barking orders.

My mind was in a fucking blur and my hands were cold.

I managed to procure the best room in a private hospital owned by one of my school friends.

They got the bullets out of her stomach and her leg but due to the shock she was comatose.

I broke down in tears.

We'd only been married for a year and change. Three months from now would be our second wedding anniversary. I had plans to keep her smiling.

And now she was in the hospital.

Her family and mine showed up to the hospital along with two of her friends.

We were all talking until the door opened.

"You're not needed here. Leave," I said.

He hurt Octavia in so many ways.

Leaving her for another.

The things he said to her were shitty.

He sighed.

Before anyone could react, I rushed forward and holding him by the collar, dragged him out of the hospital room.

He opened his mouth to speak, but I beat him to it.

"I don't want to see you nor your family anywhere near my wife. I'm certain the Dinah is the one who did this. When I get my hands on her-"

That crazy bitch.

I knew her vengeful ass too well.

Because of her, Octavia was fighting for her life in the hospital.

My darling.

My everything.

My universe.

I can only pray that she would be okay.

"What will you do?" he asked, " You won't be able to do much without forsaking your own reputation."

He was right.

"I don't give a fuck about it. None of it means anything if I can't get justice for her."

He chuckled humorlessly.

"I was like you once. Willing to give it all up just for a smile on her face."

I glared at him.

"The difference between you and I is that you treated her like a princess and I treat her like a goddess. My goddess."

He clenched his jaw.

"I love her."
