Chapter 53: I Found You

Octavia's POV

I slowly opened my eyes, wincing at the brightness.

Was I dead?

Was this heaven?

Or was the Devil fooling me into believing I was in heaven?

I opened my mouth to speak, but my tongue felt like sandpaper. My limbs felt stiff as fuck.

"Welcome back to the world of the living Mrs Costas," said an older man in a lab coat.

The world of the living?

So I'm not dead?

Yay.

Then the doors opened and in rushed people.

People I recognized.

Mom, Dad and Kate came rushing in.

Followed by the Costas, my friends, the Richley's and Refael.

Where the fuck was the man I bound myself in holy matrimony with?

I swear to God if he married Dinah while I was away, I will have his salami dick sliced into ribbon thin pieces.

"You're okay!" yelled Dad.

He hugged me and I felt his tears wet my skin.

I was only out for a day.

Also, can somebody give me water?

I wanna talk too.

Apparently, my thoughts could not be read as Kate and Mom decided to crush me with their bodies as well. They were crying too, everyone was crying and smiling.

I sure have some dramatic people in my life.

Still no sign of my baby.

The nurse came in. She made me sit up and gave me water to drink.

Finally.

"How long was I here?" I asked.

"Two months," said Kate.

My eyes widened.

Two months?!

"Damn, I must smell worse than ass," I said.

Everyone laughed.

"It's good to have you back Octy," said Refael.

I eyed him warily.

"Easy there, he's good Octavia," said Julianne.

I nodded.

"What about Dinah?" I asked.

That bitch... she had me out for two months.

Her words haunted me.

"He'd be more than open to a marriage of compromise."

I really hope that Leo did not go to her.

The thought of losing him scared me.

Good thing I had her on record saying all that she did before she shot me.

"She's in jail," said Refael.

"How-" I asked.

"That recording on your phone. Leonardo picked up on it immediately," he said, "he knows you so well."

It felt weird having Refael speak so comfortably about me and Leo.

"Speaking of, where is that idiot? He should have been the first person here."
