"Love is abstract. It is something you cannot touch nor cannot carry"
― Aril DaineI freshened up, wearing a black miniskirt, a white turtleneck sweater and black heels.
I fixed my hair into a fro and then wore minimal makeup.
Grabbing my clutch, I then headed downstairs.

Lunch was a quiet affair.
Refael had fixed us some pasta and juice.
I sat down and ate quietly.
"You're so beautiful."
I opened my mouth to speak, but no sound came and I just ended up looking like a dying fish.
He laughed, poking my face.
"Why are you being weird?" he asked.
I closed my mouth.
I was speechless.
There was nothing I could say.
He glanced at his watch.
"Okay, so we could go to the mall or to the park. What would you rather?" he asked.
"The park," I said.
He clapped.
Flipping him off, I walked away, my heels clicking on the tile.
*************************************
We walked to the park.
You'd think it was a bad idea, what with heels and all.
Nah.
I'm used to them.
When I was younger, I used to love coming to the park to calm myself.
Now I just lash out at people to relieve my stress.
In retrospect, I really did become a terrible person.
I was walking quietly, lost in my thoughts when I saw him just staring at me.
"What?" I said, giggling.
"What, I can't look at you?" he asked, smiling shyly.
I blushed.
Goodness.
I took the time to look at him carefully.
His hair was brushed back neatly and he wore a white T-shirt with black jeans. He wore a black earring as well. His hand held the perfect accessory, my hand.
We looked like those couple goals everyone gushed about.
But we weren't a couple.
"What are we Octy?" he asked.
