You were never happy in life not until you moved to Hawaii and meet Steven. You taught you were good together but everything changed when Catherine came back in his life. One day you found out he was having an affair with her so you ended things with him. The part that sucks is that you still had to work with him.

Past year it still bothered you that you had to be so close to your ex but there was one person that always made every situation good again. Danny.

When he kissed you out of the blue one night you weren't sure what to think of it but when the kiss led to you two sleeping together everything changed.

You wanted to kept things a secret just for a while, because you know what good friends Danny and Steven are so you didn't wanna mess things up with them.

It was hard not to smile when you saw him looking at you and Tani noticed one day but you made her promise she wouldn't tell anyone.

One day you were running late to work so when you arrived the team was already deep in the case. When you recognized the girl on the picture you dropped your coffee and started crying you ran to the break room and looked out of the window.

It was a shock to all of them because they never saw you cry and Danny was at your side to check on you in no time. He put both of his arms on your shoulders and kissed the back of your head, not saying anything.

"I knew her." You admitted. "The murdered girl." When you turn to face him, he was looking at you with nothing but love. "She was my first friend from Hawaii. What happened to her?"

Danny wiped the tears away from under your eyes. "She was beaten to death." He admitted and when you heard his words you couldn't stop the tears from falling. Danny pulled you closer and kissed your forehead. "It's okay baby."

Danny put his nose next to yours and leaned his forehead together. "Thank you for being here for me." You leaned in and pecked his lips.

A few hours later when Steve and Danny were driving to lunch, Steve broke the silence. "I saw you and Y/N before."

Danny pressed his lips together. "Sorry man we were about to tell y..."

"Just keep her safe and don't mess up." Steve smiled at his friend. "She was the best thing and I let her slip away."

"Never." Danny bite his lips and twirled the ringing the pocket, that he bought for Y/N.
