It was almost midnight in Silver Woods. All the restaurants and stores were closed up, the employees getting ready for another day's work early the next morning.

It was quiet and peaceful in every household. Everyone was already sleeping soundly. No noises or sounds to be heard anywhere. Not in the neighborhood. Not in town. Not even in the deep, dark woods...

...except for scraping sounds on the straight path in the middle of the woods.

Shadows. Running along the sides of the tall trees. One of them was breathing heavily as it kicked up dirt. The others were running – on all fours. Growling loudly.

Suddenly, all of the shadows stopped near the end of the path, the moon glistening high above the sky. Dead end.

The moonlight gleamed towards the end of the path, revealing three people – three humans, their shadows disappearing deep into the darkness of the woods. In the bright light, two adults were standing stiffly, their eyes locked on a young girl clutching a small, brown teddy bear.

The girl was on both knees, tears streaming down her face. Both of the adults quickly ran towards her and bent down to her level. One of them lifted her chin so they could see her face. Her eyes danced in the beautiful moonlight as she looked up at the adults.

The girl sighed heavily, admitting defeat, and the adults hugged her with their tenderness.
