We've Been Set Up

Cyrus agrees to go on a blind date, but when he sees who he's been set up with, he is not sure what to think. Told from multiple POVs.

Cyrus POV

Being alone had always been boring for me. I so desperately wanted to find a nice guy to go on a date with, but I'd never been a pushy person.

Buffy had been getting very excited, as she had promised to set me up on a blind date. For some reason, whenever Buffy suggested it, I became very suspicious.

Buffy: Are you looking forward to your date?

Me: I guess you could say that.

Buffy: What's wrong?

Me: Are you sure that whoever I'm going to date will like me?

Buffy: Of course I am! Do you not trust me?

Me: You know I'd trust you with my life.

Buffy: Then kindly stop complaining, you are in for a treat.

Me: I hope you're right.

We left my house and headed to the spoon, where I would be meeting my date. When I arrived, I was in for a shock.

Jonah POV

Andi was constantly trying to set me up, and at first, I was pleased that she was taking such an interest, but then I became annoyed because it was annoying.

She had been giving me that knowing look, one which always put me on edge. I was getting more impatient by the moment.

Me: Okay, what's the matter?

Andi: I'm just excited for your blind date tonight, it's going to be great.

Me: So you keep saying, but how do I know it'll be great?

Andi: Just believe me, you will not be disappointed.

I had my reservations, but I guess she did care about my happiness, and I have to respect her for that. We went to the spoon, but when we got there, I froze.

Third Person POV

Cyrus: J-Jonah?

Jonah: Cyrus?

Andi: That's right, we are getting you together.

Buffy: You both want to date, and don't deny it. We already know.

The boys stood quietly, just staring at each other. Then they both realised what was going on, which made them slightly anxious.

Cyrus: Wait, you like me?

Jonah: And you like me?

Buffy: Are you kidding me? The answer is painfully obvious.

Andi: We just want you both to be happy, and seeing how you seem to nervous to ask each other, we had to take action.

Cyrus: I think this means that we've both been silly.

Jonah: I guess it does.

Whilst Andi and Buffy started fangirling to the point of annoyance, Jonah led Cyrus into the spoon. They took a seat in a booth, and tried to clear things up.

Cyrus: I'm amazed you feel the same way as me.

Jonah: This is all the confirmation I need to know that we belong together.

Cyrus: I wonder what the future holds.

Jonah: I'm not thinking about that, I want to enjoy the present.

Cyrus: So do I.

Jonah: Great, let's have a great time then!

Cyrus: Sounds like a great idea.

Jonah held Cyrus' hand over the table, before pulling him in for a kiss. It wasn't a long smooch, but it was enough to leave a lasting impression on them both.
