A Big Change - Part 1

Jonah gets frustrated by Andi who keeps nagging him, and decides to end their relationship, testing Cyrus' loyalty.

Andi had been talking most of the day, but Jonah hadn't been listening. He had grown tired of her attention seeking, and was getting angry.

Cyrus and Buffy had been doing their best to stay out of the situation, but because they were friends with both Jonah and Andi, it was very difficult.

At the spoon, Jonah sat next to Andi, whilst Cyrus and Buffy sat opposite them. It was the most uncomfortable atmosphere any of them had ever been in.

Andi: You should totally come to the movies with me tonight.

Jonah: Why?

Andi: Because I'm your girlfriend and you love me.

It was becoming such a volatile situation, and Cyrus could tell that Jonah was going to snap. He saw the rage in his best friends eyes.

Jonah: At the moment, all you're doing is annoying me!

Andi: What?!

Jonah: You heard me! All I ever hear is you talk about yourself! Don't you even care about me?!

Andi: You really want to do this here?

Jonah: The only thing I want is to be away from you. My self worth is so low, and I'm done.

Cyrus and Buffy looked on in shock, knowing that Jonah was really suffering, and Andi was unable to notice it.

Jonah didn't know what else to say, so he got up to leave. Just before he left the table, he turned back to look at Cyrus.

Jonah: Cyrus, walk with me, please?

Cyrus: Of course Jonah.

It was so hard for Cyrus to watch Jonah suffering, as he wanted to tell Andi to stop, but he was also Andi's friend.

Jonah: I don't know who to trust anymore.

Cyrus: Do you trust me?

Jonah: Yes I do, you know that.

Cyrus: So, I would say that you need to give Andi space whilst she realises what has been done.

Jonah: I really don't know what I'd do without you.

That last sentence made Cyrus feel good. He knew that Jonah would never like him in the way he wanted, but it was great to hear.

Cyrus: That's such a nice thing for you to say.

Jonah: I think you are the best person in the world, I'm sorry for treating you so bad.

Cyrus: But you haven't been treating me bad at all.

Jonah: I ignored you to hang out with Andi.

Cyrus: But you love her, or at least you did.

Jonah: I know, but I don't love her as much as I love you.

Jonah was confident in what he was saying, but he had no idea what to expect from Cyrus, and he waited for a reaction.
