Needing Only You - Part 1

This is a Jasher oneshot.

After filming the last episode of Andi Mack, Joshua and Asher make a pact to stay in touch and not forget about each other. Everything is fine until a slip of the tongue adds confusion.

Joshua felt really emotional knowing that now he would no longer be filming any scenes for Andi Mack episodes.

It had been such an important part of his life, and he had made some amazing friends. He hoped that he would always keep in contact with them.

He walked by Peyton and Sofia, and they were already crying. Joshua knew this was going to be so difficult.

Joshua: Don't cry girls, you'll start me off.

Sofia: We just said bye to Asher.

Peyton: I can't believe it's come to an end.

Joshua: Neither can I. Before we go, I want to say that I have had the time of my life working with you.

Sofia: Right back at you, it's been awesome.

Peyton: We'll be sure to keep in touch, won't we?

Joshua: Damn right we will!

After giving the girls a very long hug, Joshua left and ran into Luke. They had shared some special moments on screen.

Luke: I guess this is goodbye.

Joshua: It seems that way.

Luke: We've made history, haven't we?

Joshua: You can say that again.

Luke: I'll call you later, otherwise we'll all be completely cried out.

Joshua: How true.

Luke gave Joshua a hug and they allowed themselves to have a moment to reflect. Luke smiled before wiping a tear away, and left.

Knowing that the girls had already said goodbye to Asher, Joshua went in search for him. It was most important that Asher kept in contact with him, as they were best friends.

He finally found Asher having a drink whilst indulging in a bit of quiet alone time. Joshua wanted to speak, so he patted Asher on the shoulder.

Joshua: Hey, I think we need to talk.

Asher: About anything specific?

Joshua: I want you to promise me something.

Asher: What can I do for you?

Joshua: Call me, every day.

Asher: I can do that, no problem.

Joshua felt that there was a lack of emotion between them, after sharing such heartfelt goodbyes with the rest of the cast.

Joshua: Aren't you bothered that we won't see each other so much?

Asher: Of course I am, I always have so much fun with you.

Joshua: I just wish we could be more than friends.

Asher couldn't quite believe what Joshua had said, and Joshua was shocked that those words had even left his mouth.

Asher: You, want to be more than friends.

Joshua: Forget I said anything.

Asher was about to argue when Joshua cut him off. He pressed his finger on Asher's lips, before slowly backing away.
