Avoid The Situation

Jonah gets feelings for Cyrus, but doesn't want to admit it. He tries his best to avoid Cyrus at all costs.

Jonah had been going through many thought processes. He had been trying to work out why he had been embarrassing himself in front of Cyrus.

It wasn't major stuff, it mainly consisted of spilling his drink or tripping over a table as he walked out of a classroom.

He was walking to school when he heard a voice in the background. It was one that he recognised immediately.

Cyrus: Jonah! Wait for me!

It was cruel, and he knew it, but Jonah decided to pretend that he hadn't heard and walked on, if anything, even faster than before.

Cyrus felt sad when he noticed that Jonah ignored him. He was unaware of what was really going on, but he knew that Jonah walked faster after he said something.

He bumped into Andi and Buffy, who were with Walker and Marty. He decided to get some advice from them.

Andi: Are you okay?

Buffy: You seem upset about something.

Cyrus: Jonah ignored me earlier.

Marty: What happened?

Cyrus: I called out to him to wait up, and he didn't answer. He walked quicker too.

Walker: I'm sure this is probably just a big misunderstanding.

Cyrus: I don't think it is.

They arrived at school and couldn't find Jonah anywhere. Cyrus didn't want this to be going on, all he wanted was his best friend.

Cyrus finally found Jonah during their lunch break. The others had stayed with him, so they were able to help.

Cyrus: Jonah, what's going on?

Jonah: Nothing Cyrus, bye!

As Jonah attempted to leave, he was stopped by Walker and Marty, who grabbed him and pushed him back to Cyrus. The girls were not impressed by what was going on.

Andi: Jonah, this is not like you.

Buffy: Why don't you just talk to us?

Jonah: Because you wouldn't understand.

Marty: I bet we would really.

Walker: You should be honest if you have a problem with something.

Jonah: So you know what it's like to be in love with another guy, do you?

Cyrus had never heard Jonah talk with such a bitter undertone, but he was pleased that his friend was at least talking.

Marty: Okay, we don't know about that.

Walker: But that shouldn't be a problem.

Cyrus: And last time I checked, you know that I'm into guys and not girls.

Jonah: But that's the point Cyrus, the guy I like is you!

There was a moment of silence where they all took in what was said. Cyrus, knowing he felt the same way, made his move. He gently pulled Jonah close and their lips connected. Before they finished, Walker interrupted.

Walker: I told you it shouldn't be a problem!

Marty: Please dude, let them enjoy the moment.

When they finally pulled apart, Jonah and Cyrus paid no attention to anyone else. They were in a trance, and didn't feel the need to say another word.
