This is a Jasher oneshot.

Asher is nervous about all the attention he gets, and it's up to Joshua to make him feel better. Told from a single POV.

Asher POV

I was beginning to dislike interviews. I had nothing against answering questions or meeting new people, but I did find that all of the attention I got made it difficult to live life normally.

After finishing a particularly long interview, I went to find the rest of the gang. Seeing them made me feel at ease, as I didn't feel alone.

Joshua: I'm not sure how many interviews I'm going to be able to do.

Me: I hear you, I'm starting to zone out. They just take so long.

Joshua: Wanna go grab something to eat?

Me: Yeah, that would be nice.

I followed Joshua to the cafeteria and when we got our food, we sat down at a table away from other people.

Joshua: You seem distracted about something.

Me: Do I? I hadn't noticed.

Joshua: You saying that makes me know for sure that you are.

Me: Let's just enjoy our meal, I don't want to talk about it.

I was trying to get my mind off of everything that was going on. It was tiring and I wanted to have a moment to relax and forget about everything.

Joshua: You know, I hate seeing you like this.

Me: What are you talking about Joshua?

Joshua: You are being unsociable. I know it can be difficult, but you should talk about it.

Me: I'm not sure that you want to hear what I have to say.

To be fair to Joshua, he didn't back down. I really appreciate having such a loyal friend, but I was also worried that talking about it would be me complaining too much.

Joshua: Don't be silly Asher, you know that's not true.

Me: I just... Don't you find the attention from everyone is too much?

Joshua: I do, but that's just what happens when you're on TV.

Me: I wish we could just have some space to be ourselves.

Joshua: We do, it's not like people are always talking to us.

Me: I feel like I would like a break.

Joshua: And that's absolutely fine, so when you get the chance, take a break.

I saw the famous reassuring smile that Joshua had, and I felt much better. It was almost as if he had the power to calm me down.

Me: Thanks dude, I will.

Joshua: Just don't ignore me, as I'll be calling regularly.

Me: Don't worry about that, my phone will be on!

We laughed, and remembered that if we kept everything calm, we could get through even the busiest of times.
