Jonah isn't sure whether he should break up with Amber, but Cyrus helps hims to see what he needs to do.

Jonah's relationship with Amber had always been complicated. Ever since they had got back together, his friends had been highly suspicious.

Whenever he spent time with Amber Jonah was always puzzled. He didn't know whether to be happy or sad about it.

He approached Amber and he knew for certain that he did not love her. He was worried about making his life difficult.

Jonah: Hi Amber.

Amber: Hi Jonah.

Jonah: So, what ya doing?

Amber: Not much, just been waiting for you.

Jonah: Um... can you wait a moment, I need to get something from my locker?

Amber: Sure, see you in a minute.

Jonah left, wanting to confide in someone. That someone was Cyrus, and he was frantically searching for his best friend.

He wasn't looking where he was going, and he came crashing into Cyrus. Fortunately, neither of them was hurt, but they did both fall over.

Jonah: Oh god, I'm so sorry Cyrus!

Cyrus: Calm down Jonah, everything is okay.

Jonah: Let me help you up.

After Jonah got to his feet, he grabbed Cyrus' hand and assisted his friend. Both now stood up, Cyrus could see Jonah was thinking about something.

Cyrus: Okay, what's wrong?

Jonah: I'm freaking out.

Cyrus: But why?

Jonah: I want to break up with Amber, but I'm thinking that if I do, she'll go mental.

Cyrus: If she does that, then perhaps that would prove you'd be better apart from her.

Jonah chuckled, enjoying the calm that Cyrus could always bring to him. Despite everything, as long as Cyrus was around, Jonah could relax.

Jonah: You're amazing, you know that?

Cyrus: Well, I try my best.

Jonah: I guess I'm scared of being alone.

Cyrus: Remember that I'm on my own. It's not like you'd be the only one.

Jonah could see how genuine Cyrus was. It had been a quality he'd always admired, and he wanted to be just like Cyrus.

He returned to Amber, but not before giving Cyrus a quick cuddle. It was a sweet moment, but he had to rush back to his girlfriend.

Amber: What took you so long?

Jonah: I've lost my science project.

Amber: Perhaps I can help you find it.

Jonah: Actually, I need to talk to you about something.

Amber: What is it?

Jonah felt himself tense up, he wished Cyrus was with him. He took a deep breath, before continuing.

Jonah: I'm sorry Amber, but I think we should break up.

Amber: W-what? Why?

Jonah: I've realised that I don't love you, and you deserve someone who does.

Amber: Oh, well in that case...

Amber didn't want to be cruel, but she was angry, and slapped Jonah across the face with great force. It made him cry, but he was glad when it was over.

Amber: You are a real jerk.

As Amber stormed off, Cyrus approached Jonah and without pausing, gave his friend a hug. He knew how much Jonah was hurting, and wanted to help.

Cyrus: I heard it all. I know it didn't end well, but hey, at least you were honest with her.

Jonah: I'm such a horrible person.

Cyrus: You're not. It's just you make silly decisions. If you didn't love Amber, you shouldn't have been with her.

Jonah knew Cyrus was right, and when he looked at his friend, he didn't feel pain anymore. Having Cyrus in his corner was really important.

Jonah: You're right. Who needs girls?

Cyrus: Well I don't but that's a whole other story.

Jonah: We can be single, but we'll always be best friends, right?

Cyrus: Of course we will.

Jonah: Docious magocious!

Finally allowing the smile to return to his face, Jonah felt himself become happier. His tears stopped and he put an arm around Cyrus, knowing he didn't need to be with anyone, as long as he had friendship.
