The next few days went too quickly. Christmas vacations were about to start and hence we needed to submit our assignments before the vacation started so this kept all of us busy.

Lily was spending time with her family lately as she was about to leave for Chicago right after the christmas vacations.

I had invited Liam for dinner tonight as my mom wanted to meet the person with whom I was lately spending my entire day with apart from the time I was in school.

Yes, we used to do homework together, study for tests together. Liam was good at math and I basically sucked at it.

So he helped me out with it. I have to admit that without his help I wouldn't be able to get through with my math assignment.

It was 4:00 in the afternoon. I had just finished writing about my day at school in my diary. Wait. Did I not tell you?

I had recently started noting things in my diary and it had proved helpful to me. It sort of makes me independent as I am not reliable on other people to vent out my feelings.

No doubt, I have Liam, mom and a big group of real friends who would do anything for me but still. It made me happy and I guess that's enough.

I went down the stairs to help my mom with dinner preparations. She was making hot dog, corned beef, eggs benedict and doughnuts.

Also, bacon, egg and cheese sandwich for me as I literally loved it and can have it any time of the day.

"Mom, you don't need to prepare all this", I said while licking the caramel off a spoon.

"Honey, you know I love to cook but I don't get much time for it. So this is basically me following my passion while treating you guys with a king sized meal", she answered while giving me a slight smile.

"Okay, by the way do you need my help with something? I can grill the bacon if you want", I said while holding the apron in my hands.

"Yes please", was all she said. It was already 6:00 in the evening by the time we were done with dinner arrangements.

We laid the food on the table and went back to our rooms to get ready. Mom was real excited to meet Liam and it sort of pleased me.

As soon as I went into my room my phone rang. It was Liam.

Liam : Hey babe. What should I wear? And what present should I get her? And at what time do you exactly want me to be there?
Me : Hey hey hey. Can you please relax? Wear black. It suits you. And as far as the present is concerned just bring flowers. My mom loves roses so this will work. And be here by 7:30. Is that all?
Liam : I am sorry. I am just panicking and I don't know for what exactly.
Me : Because this matters to you. Trust me my mom will love you. Just be yourself. Okay?
Liam : Okay! Got to go. I need to get ready and get some fresh roses. See you soon.

With this he hung up on the call. To be honest, I was feeling blessed.

Liam was finally meeting my mom and I just hoped she likes him. My mom had been struggling alot to give me a life she thought every child deserves.

It really mattered to me that she likes Liam. I was pulled out from my thoughts when my phone rang again.

It was Lily. She never failed to be there for me when I was disturbed with something and I didn't know how she did it even when she was away from me.

Lily : Hey babe. All ready for today?
Me : Yes almost. Dinner's ready. I need to deck up now.
Lily : You know right, that your mom will love him?
Me : I hope so. I really want them to gel up nicely.
Lily : Mia, I know how important it is for your mother to like him. But to be honest I am sure she will definitely love Liam the way we all do. Trust me, the moment she sees how much he loves you it will be all fine then. Because in the end all she wants is your happiness. And Liam is what makes you happy. So you better be calm and go dress up, dollface.
Me : I love you. I wish you could be here with me right now but I know you need to be with your family. Anyways we will be meeting for Christmas right?
Lily : Obviously babe. Go now. Bye!
Me : Bye!
