Not 'JUST' friends!

Chapter 7

He played the song 'Say you won't let go' by James Arthur on the radio. And soon we realized that we both were humming along with the words of the song.

I had a huge smile plastered on my face the entire time I was with him. I knew I was happy because I didn't remember the last time when I smiled so wide.

Then he started, "Mia, what do you want to become in life?" I waited for a second before replying, "A writer."

He shook his head before responding, "Well, that is something different." I didn't know what to say so I asked him the same and his answer made me a little excited.

He said that he wanted to be a singer. I further continued, "So what preps are you doing to make this dream turn into reality."

He answered, "Mia, I take part in the concerts at school. I have won many awards too."

He further added, "Mia, I wanna ask you something?" After hearing that nervousness again surrounded my body.

Soon the car came to a halt. But it was a different place. It wasn't a coffee shop, instead we were at a place surrounded by mountains and lush green trees.

He rushed towards my side and opened the door for me. I walked out of the car and adjusted my skirt. My heart skipped a beat when I felt his fingers slowly entangling into mine.

He was holding my hand with authority and led me further to a place where I could see two chairs and a table with coffee mugs. 

After reaching there I took a minute to notice the surrounding area. It was November and I could see snowclad mountains a long distance away.

The grass seemed to be wet as it was shining and I guessed it was the effect of the dew drops.

I was in total awe of that place. He pulled the chair for me and then we both were seated. 

Soon a sentence left my lips without a warning. "So beautiful", was all I said not averting my gaze from the view in front of me.

The next words had my stomach tingling. And it was Liam. He replied, "Not more than you."

I tried hard to hide my tomato red face when Liam chuckled, "You are blushing Mia." My face grew a hundred times redder.

I just looked up to him and saw his blue eyes piercing in mine. Soon he served us some coffee and none of us spoke after that.

We had the coffee while enjoying the comfortable silence between us. Suddenly he pulled out a guitar from under the table.

I looked at him and then at the guitar and I felt so special. He then asked, "Which song do you want me to play?" I just kept staring at his face not knowing how to answer that question.

I opened my mouth to answer but nothing really came out of it. He just laughed at my uneasiness and the next thing was he pulled out a string of the guitar and I knew the song he was going to play.

He played "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. I shouldn't be saying this but the moment we shared at that time was just too perfect to be even real.

I couldn't figure out how things were taking place.
