-Charms Class, Gryffindors and Slytherins-

Draco looked across the room and locked eyes with Hermione, but she looked different.

She had on more make-up than usual, and her hair looked lighter. Draco made eye-contact with her and mouthed: "What happened?"

She mouthed back: "Lavender, Fay, and Parvarti!" They must've given her a make-over.

"And class repeat after me: Accio book!" Professor Flitwick said. "Once you have successfully summoned your book, you may leave."

"Accio book!" Draco said and his book came flying towards him.

"Good work Mr. Malfoy, you may leave now." Draco stood up and collected his things while everyone other than Hermione was still struggling with the spells.

Draco beat Hermione to the door and slipped out into the hall.

Hermione closed the door behind her. Draco quickly grabbed Hermiones face and pressed her lips to his. She pushed him off and gave Draco a fake punch on the shoulder.

"Not here, people could see!" She whisper-shouted.

"I love you," He said.

Hermione looked right and left before she said: "I love you too."

They kissed once more before Draco grabbed her hand and walked her down the hallway.

"Ever wonder when people will find out?" Hermione leaned into Draco.

"What do you mean?" He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at her.

"I mean, what will happen to us?" There was a silence filled with thoughts and an unwanted future, and unwanted future, without, Hermione.

"Let's not think about that right now. Let's just live in the moment, because we sure won't get a lot like these." Draco took everything in, the old soul of Hogwarts, the dim lighting, the absence of other students, and the attendance of the love of his life.

"You're right, I shouldn't think about that right now." Hermione looked at Draco before horror set in her eyes. Her eyes were fixed right past Draco.

Draco slowly turned his head and saw the figure standing there.

"Granger, Malfoy. My office, now."

"Professor, let me explain! Professor Flitwick let us out early and there wasn't anyone in the ha-"

"Obviously Mr. Malfoy you are mistaken."

"I know that now but-"

"Professor Snape," Hermione interjected. "What will be our punishment?"

His face softened. "Oh you won't have any punishment for you have not broken a rule. But I advise you to be more careful, more careful than you think you need to be."

"Professor, why do you want us to be more careful?" She asked, easing him into a conversation.

"Because you're not the first to fall for a Gryffindor Draco."

Draco stood up and asked the teacher: "What are you talking about?"

Professor Snape sighed an sat down on his chair and motioned Draco to too.

"A long time ago, a very long time ago, I was friends with a girl from Gryffindor. She was my first friend at Hogwarts and I hoped she would be sorted into Slytherin so we could be friends, but she became a Gryffindor. We continued our friendship until around fifth year when she became interested in one of the Gryffindor boys. At this point I was madly in love with her and was destroyed when she started dating him. They ended up getting married and have a child together, and I just couldn't bare to look at her for she had caused me so much pain."
