-Professor McGonagalls Office-

"Carrie?"

Hermione ran to hug her best friend.

"Oh my gosh Carrie why are you here?!" Hermione pulled her best friend into a hug again but looked her in the face when she gave her answer.

"Uh, I'm a witch. A half-blood, my father was a wizard and, he still is unknown. But I now know that my brother went here, well, half brother. So, I'm here!" Carrie smiled a beaming smile and turned to Professor McGonagall.

"Yes, I have explained everything to her Ms. Granger. We are sure she will be in Gryffindor, can she take the extra bed in your room?"

"That'd fine Professor. Carrie, let me show you around. I have so much to tell you."

-Hallway-

Draco walked down the hallway after the challenge. Quite boring is what he would say if you asked him what he thought about it.

He turned a corner and heard a familiar voice.

"...and this is the potions classroom!" Hermione's voice was like a toxin to Draco, whatever she told him he would do. But who was she talking to?

Then he heard another familiar voice, but one he never thought he'd hear again.

"Potions? Like heart of goose and chicken...and...oh I don't know!" It was the voice of a childhood friend, his first friend. When her father left them to go back to his normal family, go back to them for good, her mom had gotten upset when Dracos mom sided with her ex-lover and said she never wanted to see them again.

Draco ran to the voices and stopped once he saw them.

Hermione was wearing something different from when he last saw here on her way out from the stadium, now she was wearing a black dress that went to a little but above her mid-thigh and pulled in at the waist with a Gryffindor crest on the left upper corner. She looked stunning.

His old childhood friend was wearing a pair of blue jeans and an orange sweater.

He had a plan. He ran up behind Hermione and jumped onto her back.

"AH! Draco get off me!" She squealed and he reluctantly got off. Draco pulled Hermione in for a quick kiss before pretending to register his friend there.

Seeing him looking at Draco's old friend, Hermione started to introduce them.

"Draco, this is Carrie, my all time best friend since kindergarten and who happens to also be a witch so now she goes here and Carrie this is my secret boyfriend Draco and it's a secret because he is in a rival house and is enemies with my other two best friend." Hermione was out of breathe by the end.

Draco held out his hand and Carrie shook it.

"Do I know you from somewhere?" He asked.

"Yeah I think you do!" Carrie said. That's when she realized it. "Draco is your last name Malfoy?"

Draco nodded.

"Do you remember me? Or my mother Martha?" Hermione looked shocked and Draco pretended to think before he said:

"Oh my gosh I do! When you were taken and my mom sided with your dad and, I remember it all!" Draco exclaimed.

Carrie smiled at him. "I hope we can be good friends during my time here."

Draco nodded back. "Me too."

Hermione nudged Dracos arm and he kissed her cheek.

How did they know each other? Was, was Draco interested in her??? No, no way. He told me he loved me! Is he just toying with my heart. Hermione thought.

"Mione, everything ok?" Draco looked down at her. They were sitting on a couch in the room of requirement in front of a fireplace with a thick fire burning, thinking. Draco had laid down and Hermione was laying on top of him with her head on his chest, listening to the soft tha-thump of his heart.

"Yes, everything is fine." Hermione looked at Draco and sat up.

Draco, still lying down, asked: "Are you sure?"

"Well, areyouinterestedinCarrie?" Hermione blurted out.

Draco sat up.

"Hermione, I only have eyes for you. I love you, Carrie is just an old friend. I love you Hermione. I fell in love with you for a reason." It comforted Hermione to hear that.

"Thank you Draco. I love you too. Say, how do you know Carrie?"

Draco chuckled and stood up.

"Oh, that's a story. Well when we were younger our moms were friends and so be definition we were friends. And then her father left her mom and my mom kinda sided with Carries dad. Then her mom took Carrie and left. That was when I was really young, younger than five. I hadn't seen her since until today."

Hermione sighed. "That's a story. I've known Carrie for a while, we were best friends in Primary School, before Hogwarts."

"Ah." Draco said. "I don't remember much about her, we were too young. I do remember one time, we got ice cream and she shoved it in my face."

They both laughed and Hermione said: "That's a very Carrie thing to do."

Hermione felt comforted by this, knowing Draco was hers and wasn't thinking about other girls the way he thought about her.
