Storm

There comes a time when you really wanna know when will the storm befallen. After a great honing of skills, being used to responsibilities and undeniably turn of events its time to go back home.

"I need to go home." Inis na sabi ko kay Mikos. He's at it again. Parang inahin na manok kaka putak. Inilayo ko sa tenga ko ang cellphone.

"Bakit ? Alam mo na mainit kayo sa DeCrescenzo? Delikado pa, bakit ka uuwi ?" Naringan ko din ng pagkabahala at pagkainis ang boses nya.

"I need to do something. Wag kang OA, si Aph ang habol nila, hindi ako." Napairap ako sa kawalan.

"Aish! Hoy Kambal, yung kapatid mo ang tigas ng ulo mana sayo!" Nakarinig ako ng kalabog at aray si Mikos.

"Gag@ ikaw yung pinagmanahan nyan." Napailing nalang ako. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pinatulan ni Kuya Mitos ang kambal nya.

"Bahala ka daw sa buhay mo." Napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi ni Mikos. Bad trip ?

"Kakausapin ko si Kuya."

"Kuya mo din ako ah!" Hindi ko namalayan na napangiti ako. Pumalatak ako para ikubli iyon.

"Hindi ka asal kuya Mikos. Dalian mo." Nakarinig ako ng bulong at pagdadabog sa kabilang linya.

"Yeah?" My cold topaking brother.

"What happened?"

"Hmm, nabasted sya." Maikling sabi niya.  Napahagikgik ako.

"P#@tan@@na, may type pala sya." Ikinubli ni Kuya ang tawa nya sa pag ubo.

"Yeah."

"Uuwi ako kuya."

"I will wait for you here."
It touched my heart whenever I hear soothing words from them. I do love my brothers more than anything. They cherish me like a queen, they give me everything. Love, time and care.

"Kento. You're not going to cry are you?" Napataas ang kilay ko. He volunteered to be with me in the airport. Megami or Aphrodite on the other hand won't make it today because she have classes.

"I will come and find you." Nabigla ako ng hinawakan nya ang dalawa kong kamay. I know what he feels about me. Even without saying it. I pulled my hand and turned around. Naglakad ako papasok without saying anything. I just raised my hands up as a sign of bye.

The thing is. I don't want to go home. It feels like this is not my home. Wala naman akong uuwian. Kung hindi lang kailangan nila Tito Ares ang tulong ko sa ibang bagay, hindi ako babalik ng Pilipinas. Ganun siguro talaga. Tumigas na ang puso ko. Ni ayaw ko ng makita si Hera. Never once I feel that she was my Mother.

"Athena." Bungad sakin ni Thanatos. Siya ang sumundo sa akin.

"Didiretso na ba tayo sa isla ?" Diretsong tanong ko at hinubad ang leather jacket na suot ko. It's a good thing na nakasuot ako ng shorts at Tank top. Ang init talaga dito. Ramdam ko ang tingin ng mga tao. I love to flaunt my tats. I have on both arm and legs. Halos 70-80% na ata ng katawan ko ang may tinta pwera sa muka at sa mga sensitibong bahagi.

"We need to meet the Elders first." My brow shot up.

"I'm fine meeting with Tito Hades and Ares." Umiwas ako ng tingin at sumakay sa SUV na dala ni Tan. Napabuntong hininga siya.

"Hindi mo sya maaiwasan Thens." As much as I would love to.

"Go on. Let's get this over with." Tumingin nalang ako sa bintana habang nasa byahe.

Wala naman gaanong pagbabago, marami lang nadagdag na impastraktura. Marami ding ginagawa sa daan. Uncle Ares is an effective president as I see.

"We're here."

Pumasok kami sa Palasyo. We'll its massive. I can see 5 heads turn to our direction. Si Uncle Ares ang nakaupo sa gitna. Diretso lang ang tingin ko sa kanya and the vacant seat beside her. That made me sad. Aunt is really good to me but now she's gone. We didn't even see her for the last time.

"Athena!" Umalingawngaw ang malakas na boses na ayaw ko ng marinig. That voice, always angry when she use it to call my name.

Pinasadahan ko sya ng tingin sa kaliwang bahagi ng upuan ni Uncle Ares. Pinipigilan sya ng asawa nya na gumawa ng Eskandalo.

Nagulat ako ng may yumakap sakin.

"It's been 3 years Thens, nice tats." Aunt Tam. Uncle Hades wife. She is the coolest one. I gave her a small smile. Hinimas nya ang buhok ko at ginya na maupo sa tabi nya sa kanang bahagi ni Uncle Ares.

"Kid, that's really awesome." Puri ni Tito Hades, habang inoobserbahan ang mga tattoo ko lalo na ang owl sa aking binti.

"Really kuya ? Iniispoiled nyo ang batang iyan. Tingnan nyo kulang nalang mapuno ang katawan!" Hera huffed.

"Okay, enough. How are you nak?" Tito Ares turned his attention towards me.

"Better." I just said. Pakiramdam ko tumanda sya. Pero naroon pa rin ang kakisigan.

"We need your help here for intel and to train newbies. We don't have much time. Kailangan maayos ng lahat para makabalik na ng maayos ang pinsan mo. We need to get rid of Decrescenzo as soon as possible with one shot."

I know that. Habang tumatagal, lumalakas ang panig nila. They are becoming bolder. Pumapasok na sila sa Japan. We can't just be in defense always. We need to bite back.

"Yeah I'm ready." Tumango sila at inexplain ang plano. Salitan sila Tito Ares at Hades.

"Do you understand that this may even cost your life." Tito Ares said. It feels like the air become more thick.

I just shrugged my shoulders and tap Thanatos as I stand.

"I am the only one capable. We are going now. A lot of things to do." I gave them a thight smile before turning and raising my hand as a sign of bye with Tan on my side.

Risking my life ? This is what I grew up with. The thrill keeps my blood pump in excitement. Makes me feel alive. It's like a storm is brewing. It will come soon.
