Violet
Violet had never been so panicked in her entire life, the girl who she truly loved hadn't returned yet, the last time she saw her was on the shoreline after she had got them all so safety.
They had been back at the school for almost 3 hours and she hadn't seen any sign of her. After about 10 minutes of preparation she had decided to go looking for her, she knew she would feel guilty for the rest of her life if anything happened to her whilst she sat there doing nothing to help.
As she stood at the gate she looked back at the school, the sun peering behind the bell tower where she had admitted her feelings towards Clementine. For the longest time she debated even asking her, she wasn't even sure if she was into girls. Initially she thought that Louis had won her heart with his jokes and that annoying piano but after the game of truth or dare she had decided that that night she would have to tell her or she might have exploded with embarrassment every time Clem talked to her.
She looked toward the forest at the doorstep of the school and then back at the school. As she opened the gate a slightly injured Louis walked up behind her," Please find her Vi, we owe her more than to be left to fight off a heard from on her own." Violet was genuinely surprised by his words as she looked at the slightly hunched over boy, his face was different, he almost looked serious.
His eyes looked heavy and his signature coat was covered in a mixture of his own and other people's blood and dirt. "Go to Ruby... before you bleed out in the yard and eat your way back inside." Violet said in a half concerned half sarcastic voice. Louis chucked them winced in pain. "Yeah probably a good idea... and Vi..good luck." He said as he slowly stumbled over to the admin building where the redhead was checking up on people.Walking out of the gate she felt a new feeling that she wasn't used to. She felt determined to help and do something, there was a fire burning deep inside of her that drove her into the forest to look for the people they had lost.
After walking for an hour or two the sun was getting low and she began to loop back towards the school, but something deep inside of her felt wrong, the fire that was once driving her to look for the girl was now replaced with an icy feeling. She had only ever felt this the moment she was told that the twins had 'died', Violet and Minerva were in a strange kind of relationship before she 'died' Minerva always wanted to move their relationship to the next and every time they shared a quiet moment alone the taller girl had always tried to push the idea of sex onto her. They never actually did anything because Violet felt like something was wrong in their relationship, Minerva would never speak to her directly during the day, she wouldn't even look at her when they sat down to eat, but when the night came she would say and do all these things that gave Violet the desperate love she needed in her life but then after that she would walk back to her room leaving Violet cold and confused. "Clem isn't like her" Violet said out loud as she continued to walk the paths around the forest.
A noise drew her out of her thoughts, it sounded like someone running, she quickly drew her cleaver, she had secretly named it Zoe but she would never actually tell that to anyone as she would never hear the end of it from Louis. As the running grew louder she realised how close she was now to the school, but then a voice drew her attention, small but worried.
AJ
She ran through the bushes and onto the path, there stood AJ axe in hand but behind him was something that nearly brought her to tears at the sight. James stood tall above the other but the girl that lay in his arms, covered in blood and missing a leg, James applying pressure as he carried her.
Violet didn't even speak she just began to run back to the boarding school, AJ, James and Clem following behind her. She pushed through the metal gates with such a force that the brick around nearly crumbled. "RUBY! ANYONE HELP!" She shouted out as she ran into the courtyard.
Within a second Ruby ran out of the building panicked. She scanned the yard and as her eyes met with the gate she saw Clementine in James's arms, leg missing and blood everywhere.
Within a minute they had all piled into the admin building looking for a place to lay the injured girl.
The next hours were a blur for Violet, she listened to Ruby and kept focused on helping her in anyway possible, Louis had taken AJ to the piano room to distract him from the state that his protector was in. After Ruby has done what she could with her limited supplies she left Violet with Clementine. She sat at her side for hours, holding her hand and cleaning the sweat from her brow. She looked at the scar in her brow, even compared to the current situation she was in she wandered what story lead to her reviving that injury, in fact now Clem was out of her jacket she could see so many different marks on her tan skin, a long scar on her left arm that looked like a bite from an animal of some kind, she recalled how Clementine had mentioned a bad experience with a dog.
Further up her arm was a mark that surprised her, a mark of some kind it looked like it had been burned onto her skin. For a moment anger filled her soul as she thought about the pain that people had caused such a loving person and by the way the scars looked she must have been young when she had revived them. Her scar based train of thought was broken by a voice and the sound of feet,"H..How is she?" AJ asked timidly, he looked like he had been crying. Rosie sat at his side looking at the injured Clem. Violet stood up and walked over to the boy, she didn't speak she just got onto her knees and gave him a hug.
"It going to be a long road.. but she should be ok."
