Clementine paced around the courtyard nervously as she talked over the radio, "This looks important, what can I do?" Harry stood up with a painful grunt, "No, no, no, you stay here and get some rest." Ruby protested. Harry turned dramatically and let out a long sigh, "Fine I'll just go sit around and do... stuff." He walked away, slowly whistling to himself. "I'll go sew up the other three holes, you guys help Clementine with this." Andrew said."Javi?, Javi? Shit!" Clementine shouted down the radio. "Guys we've got to go now, it sounds really bad down there." She said in a panicked tone. The group stood up suddenly, "What can we do?" Louis asked in a strangely serious manner. "Sophie does that car still run properly?" Clementine said quickly.
"Umm, yeah should be fine." She replied. "Good, everyone grab your gear and get ready, sounds like trouble." Clementine walked over to Violet who was sitting slightly doubled over whilst everyone else ran off to collect weapons and supplies."No, no I'm fine I just need a minute." Violet stood up with a slight stumble then sat back down and clutched her side. "Yeah, maybe not." Clementine said with a hint of sarcasm. "But Clem I've been stuck in that room for the last three days!" Violet protested with a childish tone. Violet grunted slightly and let our a quiet hiss, she shook her head and looked up with a little smile, "I'll show the new people around and see what they can do... just... just stay safe." Clementine smiled and leant down, placed her finger carefully under her chin and tilted her face up. Violet smiled, her eyebrows raised slightly and Clementine planted a passionate kiss onto her lips, reassurance filled them both. They disconnected but remained close, they could still feel the breath coming out of each other's mouths. "Please, be safe." Violet whispered seriously.
"Always, always for you." Clementine whispered back, a warm smile developing on her face.
"Go on, they need your help." The blonde said in a dismissive tone. Clementine nodded, turned around and began to walk towards the others, she paused for a moment and turned to face Violet, they both smiled tenderly at each other, a smile that both showed love and a feeling of sadness.Meanwhile, The Delta
"Fuck this is bad, this is really bad." Javi said as he scrambled several items off the floor and into a bag. "Yeah no shit we got about three hundred muerto's a few minutes from the front gate and half of the cars won't start!" Gabe half shouted from the other side of the room. Javi ignored Gabe's attitude and continued to grab various items from the room, the distance sound of panicked feet and worried voices echoed through the room. The door suddenly burst open, "We've got to go, there nearly at the gate!" Kate said with an exhausted pant. Both Javi and Gabe closed their bags and followed Kate out of the room.
The low tone of groaning invaded their ears as they ran towards the makeshift convoy of beaten up trucks and half rusted cars, a group of around 50 people stood nervously outside of the vehicles: some people loaded the last of the supplies into the back of the trucks, others worked desperately to repair the escape vehicles before the murderous horde of the dead knocked on their front door.
"Christa how are things lookin?" Javi said with a panicked tone. "We have twelve cars and only three run, last I checked we have about three minutes before the walkers get here." Christa said looking up from the pile of boxes.
A sudden burst of joy erupted from the end of the line of cars as an engine turned over, a small collective of people climbed into the back of a pick up truck. "That makes it about 32 seats, at this rate we need a small bus to get these people to safety."
Javi smiled with a fake confidence, "I hope Clem got that message."Clementine
The cars sped down the road, Clementine, Louis and Sophie in the first; Aasim and Ruby in the other. "Everyone ready because we're nearly there?" Sophie asked the others, quickly turning her eyes of the road.
"Yeah, think so." Louis said
"Always." Clementine replied
"Ok then we should be there i- Holy Shit!" Sophie yelled.
The speeding car screeched as the driver applied the brakes and attempted to turn away from the danger ahead, a mixture of screams erupted from the car followed by several harsh screeches from the metal as the car rolled along the ground and into the tree line.
