Y/N's POV

Fat.

My cellphone vibrated with a buzz.

Ugly.

Buzz.

Worthless.

Buzz.

Stupid.

Buzz.

The list goes on and on.

"Y/N?" Loki's voice brought me out of my depressing trance. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, why?" You replied dully, not making eye contact.

"You seem sad," Loki admitted.

"No, I'm fine," you said quietly.

"Y/N," he argued firmly. "You don't have to lie to me. Besides, it doesn't work, you know," he said with a smirk.

Buzz.

"I said I'm fine!" I snapped, standing up.

Loki was taken aback at my tone, but that didn't stop me from walking away. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. "You are not fine," he observed, "and you are going to tell me why."

Buzz.

Tears formed in your eyes at the last text message.

You'd be better off dead.

"Y/N, who is that?" "It's no one!" I screamed, attempting to throw my phone away from him. Loki grabbed it before I could. He gasped softly.

"Oh, darling... Why didn't you tell me?" Loki asked, pulling me into a tight hug.

"Because it's true," I whimpered.

Loki pulled away and grabbed my shoulders. "Everything they are saying about you is not true. Your value is determined by yourself, not some imbecile hiding behind a screen."

I looked at my feet and sighed.

Loki kissed my forehead softly and said, "It will be okay, darling. You look dreadfully tired; why don't you take a nap?"

I nodded, yawning. Loki picked me up and carried me to bed. He tucked me in and kissed my lips. "You don't have to worry anymore. I will always take care of you."

Let's just say that those people didn't bother you after Loki came to visit them.
