"You seriously broke up with him?" My best friend Grace Phillips asks me, sounding more curious than she usually does.
Grace is my best friend, we've known each other since we were little kids.
She always used to be so shy and afraid, but she's different now, ever since she met me she's gotten stronger and more confident.
She even dyed her hair dark red a couple years back. I could never do that.
She is utterly fearless of anything. It's why I respect her so much. She always has control. Unlike me ...
But anyway, as I was saying, Grace has always been curious. Actually let's not be subtle about it, she can be a nosy bitch when she wants to. But I don't mind, I know she only does it cause she cares.
She has a big heart really, although she would never admit it. Not over her dead body.
"Yes, I broke up with him. Can we move on now please?!" I said, sighing and sitting down at my vanity, growing impatient of the interrogation I was receiving, from my best friends, in my very own bedroom. I roll my eyes at this ridiculous scene.
I start brushing my hair roughly, it's a bad habit I have when I'm stressed or anxious. Well at least my hair is looking good, whereas the rest of my body is on edge. Although I'm not surprised about that, considering the night I've just had.
"Wait! Hold up!" My other best friend, Brooke Goodwin exclaims, holding her hands up in the air, dramatically, and flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulders.
Classic Brooke, always likes to be dramatic. I mean I love her and all but the girl acts like she lives in a damn soap opera.
Let me tell you this, my life is in no way, a soap opera.
"You and Logan have been going out for two years now. What the hell happened gurl?" Brooke asks me. My friends all look at me, waiting for an answer.
I sigh. They weren't going to stop until they had answers. Well I wasn't exactly ready to give them.
"I fell out of love with him. That's all." I told them.
Technically that is true, I have fallen out of love with Logan. But for a reason I'm not willing to say out loud yet.
It's just my little secret. For now at least.
"Where's Lexi?" I ask, trying to change the subject.
My attempt works as my friend, Jade, who was swinging her legs on the edge of my window seat, answers my question.
"Oh she mentioned that she was on a date with her boyfriend at some fancy restaurant."
I sigh. Of course she is. I've never seen her without her boyfriend by her side. She is utterly consumed in her relationship that she has no time for girls night anymore. Maybe she really has chosen him over us.
