~ 01 ~

Stepping on to the speedboat, everything suddenly seemed real.

...

'Hi I'm Maia Banjo, and I'm best known for being in the dance group Diversity!' Maia grinned at the camera. 'And maybe for being in the Spider-Man movies, or The Greatest Showman.' She laughed loudly. 'God that sounded so cocky!'

...

I remembered my interview, thinking of how it will play over my entrance to the show.

...

'I think I'm the 4th most famous Banjo. Behind Ashley... Jordan... probably Cassius... then it's me.' She pauses, nodding with a smile. 'Ahh crap, wait no. My mum. She's up there. 5th. I'll take that.' Everyone laughs this time.

'I am quite a strong person I'd say. Growing up surrounded by just guys has given me quite a tough exterior. But I think everyone I know would say I'm a complete drama queen when I've not eaten.' She giggles again. 'So the other campmates are in for a ride!'

...

I sat down, the boat moving slowly away from the dock and my jungle journey beginning.

...

'I think the hardest part for me will be being so far away from my family. I'm so used to having them with me as like a safety blanket all the time. And I think knowing they're also finishing tour and I'm missing it is really gonna hit me when I get in there.' She stares wistfully at the camera in front of her, thinking of the 10th anniversary tour that had been cut short for Maia.

'I'm not terrified of much, just rational things like heights, the dark, spiders. Jord used to have pet snakes and I was fine with them but Ash got a tarantula for his 12th birthday; and for about 3 months they'd hide it in my bed like everyday to scare me.' She frowns as everyone else in the room laughs.

'Scarred. For. Life.'

...

As we take off at speed I notice a huge yacht in the distance.

...

'I think what I'll bring to camp is just a smile. I always try to see the best in everybody I meet, as a dancer I have a lot of patience and can work really well in a big group or little teams.

I like to think I'm funny, though my family back at home watching are all probably cringing at me.' She laughs briefly. 'I'm very loyal... IM LOYAL BABES!' She bursts out laughing, imitating Georgia's infamous Love Island quote from last year. 'I'm very hard working, will always get stuck in and even though I'm probably gonna be the youngest it'll make me even more motivated to prove myself and help everyone out as much as I can.' Maia smiles innocently, finishing the interview.

We quickly catch up to the yacht, and 5 dots standing on board become five famous faces. I smirk slightly, waving one hand in the air as I fight to keep my blue dress from flying up.

- on the yacht -

'Ooh guys I think there's something coming!' Nadine nods towards a speedboat, heading towards the 5 celebs. 'Oh my god who is it!?' Everyone spins at Kate's words. 'It looks like a girl.' James points out the obvious just as Maia becomes fully visible on board her speedboat. 'Oh my days, that's Maia Banjo!' Myles' eyes widen, a little shocked. 'Haha you a fan mate?' Ian laughs, clapping his back. 'Man, she's absolutely stunning bro!' Myles flusters slightly, Kate agreeing. 'She is! And she's so lovely!' 'Ahh I'm so glad everyone's so nice so far!' James claps his hands together, all of them waving before Maia speeds off ahead of the yacht.

I recognised all 5 celebs. From James Haskell, to Nadine Coyle, Kate Garraway and the legend himself Ian Wright! And I couldn't help but let my eyes linger on the tall, younger looking guy. Myles I think his name is, from the band Rak-Su who won X Factor a couple of years ago. Then within seconds we seem to speed off again ahead of the big boat.

Soon, one by one, four other boats have joined us. And even without my glasses I can just about make out the faces of Roman Kemp, Jacqueline Jossa from EastEnders, Andrew Maxwell who voiceovers Ex On The Beach and then... Caitlyn freakin' Jenner!

I was too busy waving at them all to hear the driver say 'Hold on!' And we fly off in a zig-zag one by one, almost sending me flying off the back of the boat.

Eventually I watch Roman dock and get out of his speed boat, running onto the beach. I appear to be next, quickly hopping off the speedboat and hurrying down the pier in my Fila trainers. 'Ahh!' I wave at him, Roman laughing as he yells. 'Come on!'

I start to jog, being wary of the small straps on my dress 'Oh god I've gotta run.' I groan, running onto the beach and hugging my new campmate. 'Nice to see you again!' He beans and I grin. 'You too! Can't believe how long it's been!' I pull away. Roman has interviewed me, Jake and Tom earlier in the year for our newest Spider-Man movie. 'Got the MJ hair still.' He laughs, an inside joke, that I basically just am my marvel character in real life. 'Haha yeah, MJ hair now, MJ mood in a few days when I've barely eaten.' We both laugh loudly.

'Ahh another person!' He gasps suddenly, and I spun around to see Jacqueline heading towards us. 'Hi guys, nice to meet you! I'm Jacqueline!' She hugs is both. 'Hiya Maia, nice to meet you too!' She grins. 'Oh my god my little girls gonna be going nuts!' She starts and I furrow my eyebrows.

'The Greatest Showman is like our favourite film!' I can't hide my grin. 'Awe bless! How old is she!?' 'She's just turned 4.' I grin widely. 'Awe wow bless her! That's so sweet!' I smile, just as I see Andrew nearing us.

'Hiya pals!'

He does a funny little jog towards us, bringing us all into a big group hug. 'Fantastic I'm raising the average age already.' We all laugh. 'How young are you guys if you don't mind me asking?' He asks us and I grin. 'I'm 26.' Roman answers. 'I'm 27.' Jacqueline smiles and I suddenly feel like a child. 'I'm 24.' I laugh slightly.

'Oop, baby of the group.' Andrew ruffles my hair and I pout as the others laugh.

'Youngest of all of us but like triple the instagram followers right?' Roman adds and I laugh with them this time. 'So are youse nervous?' Jacqueline asks. 'Terrified.' 'Yeah.' 'A little.' Are the varied responses. 'Well there's one more boat to come for us.' 'Yeah, they looked very glamorous.' Andrew nodded and I widened my eyes, agreeing.

'Yep. Caitlyn Jenner.'  'WHAT!?' Jac's eyes widen and I laugh. 'And there she is, our final boat.' Roman points and Jacqueline begins to panic. 'Wait hold on, I don't know how to play it.' I laugh lightly. 'You a fan?' Roman joins in. 'Between her and Maia I'm super fangirling right now.' I laugh, all of us turning to wave at Caitlyn.

'Hello!' Roman shouts, getting no wave back. 'Guys we're being blanked by Caitlyn Jenner.' He finishes and I have to hold my stomach from laughing so much. I loved everyone so much already.

We all cheered as the legend made her way towards us. How the hell ITV managed to sign her I have no idea! 'Hello!' She greeted us all warmly and I could see Jacqueline trying not to fan girl. 'Hi lovely to meet you, I'm Maia!' 'Maia, lovely!' She shook my hand. 'Andrew, how are you?' 'Andrew, nice to see you.' 'Jacqueline, nice to meet you.' 'And Jackie.'

'Roman, pleasure to meet you. This is so surreal, this whole moment.' He finishes after shaking Caitlyn's hand. 'It is kind of surreal.' Caitlyn laughs. 'You have no clue who any of us are do you?' Jacqueline laughs lightly.

'I mean, we all love The Greatest Showman right?' She gestures towards me. 'The lovely Maia.' 'Yeahhh!' Everyone cheers and I blush, Roman wrapping his arm around me, chuckling.

'But hey, we got a lot of time for us to get to know each other huh.' We all nod, grinning at Caitlyn.
