Finally with the end of our capital interview and a few games for future clips like finish the lyric and a hilarious round of act out the emoji, we were free to go.
'I'm so upset I didn't get to wear this for longer.' I complained to my makeup artist, Roshell, who came everywhere with me. 'I know, you're serving serious body honey. I'll meet you back in the room tomorrow for the party look! Have fun rehearsing!' She joked, kissing my cheek as I glared.
'Rehearsing? What the hell are you rehearsing for?' Ro asked, waiting for the elevator to come back down from the 28th floor to get us to our rooms.
'I've got rehearsals all day with the guys. We start panto 3 days after I get back. So it's straight to tech rehearsals and costumes. No rest at all.' I sighed. I could just imagine the sweat I would drain tomorrow. A whole 8 hour rehearsal.
Yeesh.
'Wait you're in a panto!?' He seemed shocked. 'Yeah! Three years in a row. Well, Diversity is. By South-End Pier.' His eyebrows raise. 'Hopefully I won't end up covered in meal worms this time though.' A laugh escapes my lips as I see Roman looking a little conflicted.
'I mean, we don't have to go back to the rooms.' I turn to frown at him. 'What do you mean?' I saw as he took a breath.
'We could go out for dinner instead of getting room service.' I feel my heart pound. Was this going where I thought it was going?
'As in with everyone?' I had to double check. I wasn't about to get the wrong end of the stick and come out looking like an idiot.
'Well, yeah if that's what you wanna do. But I was thinking, maybe just us.' I tried not to explode as he smiled, laughing slightly nervously and I broke into a small grin, restraining myself. 'Yeah, that sounds better.'
It looks like he breathes a sigh of relief, smiling at me. 'Then let's go.' We head out into the huge reception area, luckily barely anybody was around so we were able to sneak out pretty easily.
'Where are we gonna go?' I laugh, searching for restaurants near by.
'I mean I know a place, but do you mind that we're a little overdressed.' I frowned at him. 'Uhh no, let's go there.' I tried to listen as he whispered to the driver.
'No, it's a surprise.' He smirks as he sits back in his seat, knowing what I was about to ask him. 'Alright.' I sigh in defeat, not even trying. 'Little scared but hey ho.' He laughs.
But after a 25 minute journey I get what he meant. 'Oh my god.' I laugh, grinning as we pull into a McDonald's car park. 'Madame.' He hopped out of the car first, helping me out. 'Ro. I don't think you understand how much food I'm about to eat. This is dangerous.' I shake my head, smiling as he shrugged.
'Well, I remembered you said this is the first restaurant you wanted to go to. And if I'm honest, I'm gonna be right there with you. I'll even give you a nugget competition.' He raised one eyebrow and I blinked.
'You're gonna regret that.' I laughed, heading inside to get our food, then back to a bench outside the restaurant that felt a little more private.
It was almost 9pm and since they were nearly closing, there was only like 2 people inside, I could feel the judgement with every item I ordered.
'You know, if you think about it, this is probably the only part of an animal we've not eaten in the past 3 weeks.' I laugh, sipping on my drink as Roman wolfs down another box of 20 nuggets.
'What do you think we'd have been eating tonight if we were still in there?' I ask him, finishing off my first box. I was pacing myself so I didn't get ill, Roman was probably going to be on the toilet all night.
