~Chapter 7~

Rin's eyes fluttered open, she looked around and noticed she was laying on Mayu who was still asleep.

"You're awake, Rin?" She looked over to see golden eyes looking back at him.

"Uhn." Sesshomaru thought for a moment, then held his arm out making A-Un and Jaken still. He walked over and picked Rin up gently setting her on the ground. Rin stretched with a smile.

"Are we almost there?" She asked. Sesshomaru motioned for everyone to walk once more.

"Take a look and tell me if we are." Sesshomaru spoke. Though his voice was plain, Rin knew he was joking with her. She looked and her eyes sparkled.

"We're super close! I can't wait." She giggled, then she took Sesshomaru's hand in her own.

"Do you think Kagome and the others are there yet?" Rin asked looking up at Sesshomaru. Though he wanted to growl, not wanting to deal with his brother at the moment, he remained civil.

"Possibly." Rin smiled.

"I bet everyone's all dressed up, ooh and think of all the pretty decorations! I bet you're going to be the handsomest one there, Sesshomaru-sama!" Sesshomaru only hummed as a response. It had been a while since he's worn his flame inspired kimono, it was the same one his father used to wear to fancy gatherings when he was younger.

"Of course he will be!" Jaken boasted for Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru wanted to roll his eyes so bad. Usually, dealing with this group was easy, namely Jaken, but recently he's found himself no longer slow to anger. His anger just spikes, sometimes over the smallest of things, that's another reason why he agreed to come to this occasion, he needed some time away from home. After a little longer, Mayu's eyes slowly opened. She moved her arm, then noticed the lack of weight on her. She quickly sat up and looked, then let out a relieved sigh seeing Rin walking with Sesshomaru.

'How on earth did I not notice her get off of me?' A-Un let out a gentle purr making Mayu look over. She shifted before reaching over and petting them.

"Good morrow, A-Un." Sesshomaru glanced back hearing Mayu's voice.

"We near the village, Mayu." Sesshomaru spoke. Rin looked back with a bright smile.

"Oh you're going to have so much fun Mayu!" She chirped cheerfully. Mayu smiled, then glanced up feeling her hair felt loose now.

'Damn, I shouldn't have slept on it I suppose. Of course, Eri also had to do a hairstyle I have no clue how to do.' Mayu sighed and pushed in the hairpin a little more in hopes it'd hold. After a little bit, Mayu also walked beside Sesshomaru due to Rin asking if she could hold her hand too. Jaken watched from a tad bit behind them while he held onto A-Un reins still.

'Huh, almost like mother and father.' He thought, then quickly shook his head.

'Yeah right, Sesshomaru-sama would never.' A-Un looked down at the imp, then at each other, then A jerked his head making Jaken fall on his face and lose grip of the reins. A-Un then walked up beside Mayu who looked over and smiled before reaching over and fixing their reins to rest on their back instead of dragging in front of them.

"Why you." Jaken growled under his breath only to earn a taunting purr from A-Un.

"Oh, Mayu, your hair is coming down." Rin pointed out.

"Ah, yeah. I suppose I shouldn't have slept on it. I didn't think about it, I don't usually have my hair up." Mayu said with a gentle sigh. Sesshomaru glanced over for a moment, then he let Rin's hand go holding his arm out once more making everyone else stop. Mayu looked over only for him to walk behind her, grab her hairpin and pull it out of her hair making it all fall down.
