"Everything you need is in A-Un's saddlebag." Eri said with a smile.

"Thank you, Eri." Mayu thanked, then felt tiny arms wrap around her waist. She looked to see Rin smiling up at her.

"Ready to depart?" Sesshomaru asked making the others look over.

"If Amaya is, then we're ready." Mayu said with a smile.

"I'm ready." Amaya said with a smile. Eri walked over and hugged her daughter.

"Be safe." Amaya smiled and hugged her back.

"I will. Tell Yuki I'm out on a mission." Amaya said pulling away.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of your mate." Eri said with a cheerful smile. Amaya nodded then turned facing Mayu.

"Alright, let's go." Mayu nodded. Before they could leave, however, Sesshomaru walked over and looked down at Mayu.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" He asked.

"Why wouldn't it be?" She asked in a curious tone.

"I want you and Rin as safe as possible." He muttered. Mayu perked up and her face warmed a little. She then closed her eyes and shook her head.

"Let's be honest, your brother adores Rin. Him, Amaya, and I will never let anything happen to her." Mayu reassured with a smile. He stood there for a moment, then Mayu noticed his eyes flicker to something else. His golden eyes landed on the hairpin Eri gave her. Mayu noticed this and her smile grew, her face warming a tad bit.

"It's very beautiful." She commented in a very soft tone, but she knew Sesshomaru heard her when his gaze flickered back to her, but only for a moment.

"It only compliments certain people." He muttered before turning and walking away.

"Only compliments certain people?" Mayu whispered under her breath confused by his words.

"Wait." Amaya spoke up before grinning to her lord who was nearly out of sight.

"I see what's going on here.~" She cooed making her mother laugh.

"It's obvious, isn't it?" Eri asked making Amaya snicker.

"Cute." Amaya teased.

"What?" Mayu asked making the two look over.

"You don't have to hide it, it's obvious you two are a thing." Mayu turned bright red.

"Oh no no Amaya, they haven't gotten that far yet." Eri corrected.

"Wait, really?" Amaya asked in a surprised tone.

"As if Sesshomaru-sama would even consider that! You should respect him m-" Suddenly, a rock was thrown at Jaken's face.

"Tsk." Amaya huffed.

"Amaya." Eri growled lowly.

"Anyway!" Amaya said cheerfully before clearing her throat.

"It's obvious he likes her. 'Only compliments certain people,' who says that lightly?" Amaya asked playfully. Mayu sighed.

"I'm sure he's just being polite. Now, we should go, if we fly there we'll get there by sundown. Jaken, you're flying with us." Before he could complain, she grabbed him and put him on A-Un before helping Rin up.

"We'll be back!" Amaya chirped before trotting beside A-Un as Mayu climbed on.

"Be safe." Eri said with a smile, Mayu soon returning the smile.

"We will." With that, they left.

"Oh, you're back?" Sango asked as Mayu, Rin, and Jaken got off A-Un.

"Yeah, uh, sorry for the sudden visit. I need your help." Mayu explained. Sango smiled warmly.

"Of course, what is it?" She asked sweetly.

"By any chance can we discuss this with the others as well?" Mayu asked.

"Of course! Come inside." Sango led the others, other than A-Un who stayed outside to graze, to the middle of the village where a large fire was built and a few people were gathered. Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Shippō, and Kirara were there. They all greeted Mayu and her group, then they talked. She caught them all up and asked for their help.

"Hmm, well I'm not sure of suitable allies for you guys." Kagome whispered in thought.

"Sesshomaru was an ass to everyone he met, no one will do it." Inuyasha grumbled making Kagome smack him. Mayu sighed and closed her eyes.

"Hmm, if I'm honest, I'm not sure either." She muttered, then perked up and looked at Amaya.

"Wait, there was an attack when we were gone right?" She asked making Amaya nod.

"No one has filled me in on it yet, what happened?" Mayu asked. Amaya sighed annoyed.

"The damned Bakeneko are back at it again. It's not the first time, but this time they seemed a little too prepared, we're worried this is more than annoying antics." She explained.

"Wait, Bakeneko?" Inuyasha asked making Amaya glance over.

"Yeah." He thought for a moment.

"That's what Kōga's message mentioned, right?" He asked Kagome.

"Huh, yeah." She muttered.

"Kōga?" Mayu asked curiously.

"He's the wolf demon tribe leader." Inuyasha explained.

"He's supposed to be here tonight around midnight, he wants to make sure we're ok." Kagome finished.

"Hmm, I wonder if he's willing to offer more information on the Bakeneko if he has any." Mayu muttered.

"Of course he would! Do you think you can stay until he is here?" Kagome asked.

"If you don't mind us here." Mayu said with a smile.

"Of course not!" Kagome said with a bright smile.

"Yay!" Rin cheered happily making the others laugh.

"So, why'd the son of a bitch stay behind?" Inuyasha finally asked.

"Hmm? Oh, Sesshomaru-sama. He didn't feel it safe enough for him to come with us." Mayu explained.

"Hmm." Inuyasha hummed.

"I do not blame him, he must be so worried after the attack." Sango pointed out.

"I would be too." Miroku added.

"He really is though some don't believe it." Mayu said with a sigh.

"You don't need to beat around the bush, I know my dad's an asshole." Amaya said making Mayu giggle softly.

"That's not nice." Rin muttered making Amaya wear a guilty look.

"U-Uh, y-yeah." She stuttered.

"Anyway, you all should rest before Kōga gets here." Miroku suggested.

"Uhn, thank you for your hospitality." Mayu thanked.

"Of course."
