~Chapter 30~

"It was a wise choice to let them stay the night, Sesshomaru." Mayu said with a smile.

"Yeah, I can't wait to see them!" Rin cheered.

"She loves them so much." Mayu said with a soft giggle.

"Sesshomaru-sama, they're here." Eri said with a smile as she let Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Himari, Yua, Akira, and Shippō.

"You're here!" Rin cheered as she ran over to greet them.

"Hey!~" Kagome chirped getting on her knees carefully and hugging Rin. Inuyasha smiled and ruffled Rin's hair. Mayu smiled and walked over so Sango hugged her.

"Good to see you again." Mayu said pulling back.

"Thank you for inviting us." Sango said with a smile, then her eyes flickered down, then her face warmed a little as she wore a cheeky grin.

"Hmm?" Mayu hummed a little confused.

"My good sir, when are we expecting?~" Miroku asked Sesshomaru raising a brow. Sesshomaru growled at the monk making Mayu look over.

"Expect what?" She asked. She had no idea why Sesshomaru was already on edge. Inuyasha eyed Mayu, then Sesshomaru.

"You did that to her and she has no clue wh-"

"We didn't mate, no." Sesshomaru interrupted in an angered tone. Mayu turned bright red.

"Wh- Wait no no no we didn't- I mean-" Sango laughed.

"We're just teasing Mayu." She said patting her shoulder gently. Mayu sighed softly.

"U-Uhn."

"Mate?" Rin asked curiously making Mayu tense and look at Sesshomaru.

"It's nothing, Rin." He simply said.

"Oh, ok!~" She chirped.

"Your rooms are ready for you when you wish to rest, until then, dinner will be ready soon." Eri said with a smile.

"Need a hand?" Mayu asked.

"No no, I'll be ok." Eri said with a bright smile.

"Are you sure?" Mayu asked again.

"I am fine, Mayu." Eri said ruffling her hair a little before turning and walking off. Then she stopped and turned to look at Mayu again.

"I have a surprise for you tomorrow night before the celebration, meet me in the dressing room. Ok?" Mayu blinked a couple of times, then nodded with a curious look. Eri smiled and walked out.

"Ooh, I wonder what it could be." Rin said before smiling brightly.

"Sesshomaru-sama, can I take Himari, Yua, and Shippō to the garden to play?" Rin asked.

"I will have Mayu fetch you when dinner is ready." Sesshomaru spoke in a calm tone.

"Yay! Come on you guys!~" Rin said making the children laugh and runoff. Miroku still held Akira as he slept, wrapped up in his blanket.

"I wish I still had that energy." Kagome said with a sigh as Inuyasha helped her up.

"Sounds like you'll only get one out of her." Sango teased.

"Yeah, no kidding." Kagome said making Sango and Mayu laugh. Inuyasha carefully wrapped his arms around Kagome from behind.

"As long as she's happy." He muttered making the laughing calm as everyone but Sesshomaru smiled.
