The Man with no Heart (Tony Stark) - ON HOLD

Growing

I sat in my spot, surrounded by people. I hear them laughing every time I open my mouth.

I don’t see how they find me that funny but… I actually feel welcomed, somewhat.

“… and Tony here says it’s possible so, who knows?”

I felt someone’s arm around me. I honestly can’t remember what he was talking about, or what were my words to him.  

I just noticed I always had a cup in my hand, filled with whatever they offered to me.

“Careful with those, Tony” Rhodes warned me

“This’good”

He smiled “You can come whenever you want, dude”

My eyes stared at his. Despite my blurred vision, I knew I would not forget those words.

He was being really nice to me.

“Hi guys”

My eyes suddenly drifted to the girl that sat by Rhodes. She smiled at me and leaned to kiss my cheek “You must be Tony!”

My jaw dropped.

That gorgeous girl just kissed my cheek?

“Yeah, Tony, this is Maya Hansen, she has been wanting to meet you” he smiled

“Oh, uh…” I looked at her again.

Idiot.

Say something!

“I’ve seen you around the school. Well, everyone has” she smiled at me

“Right…” I nervously spoke

She smiled at me “Rhodes told me you have artificial intelligence, at your place?”

“Oh, he does,” Rhodes spoke “It scared the hell out of me at first. It’s pretty cool though!”

I looked away, adrenaline rushing through my veins

Rhodey was complimenting me?

Wow.

“Artificial intelligence?” Some other guy asked

“He’s just Jarvis. I’m still working on him, he’s still pretty… noob”

“Jarvis?”

“Yeah” I smiled

“That’s pretty amazing” Maya spoke.

Her smile showed her perfect teeth and, even though she was far, I could see her perfect skin and beautiful features.

I am not, at all, used to these compliments.

I am not used to be in this environment. But I am enjoying my time here, with them.

Particularly with Rhodey and, now, Maya.

“We should go now” Rhodes spoke, not long after

“Ah, c’mon!” I groaned.

I was having such a good time.

“C’mon, you’ve drank too much already” He stood up and was followed by Maya

“Feel free to come by anytime, Tony!” the guys spoke as I stood up as well.

It was by then I realized my balance was compromised.

They guys laughed their asses off as I fell back into the comfortable sit.
