As the time passed by, I never saw Mackenzie again. And, as I programmed Jarvis to be able to access the information on him and that organization, I grew more careless about the matter. Maybe he mistaken me for someone else? Ugh, but that was weird, I am Tony Stark. However, as the days passed by and I saw nothing suspicious, I started to ignore it.
Graduation was close.
Everyday I saw Rhodey freaking out over exams and Maya, well, as I have told you already, was exactly the same.
As to me, well, I am ready for yet another graduation.
Maybe my father will come this time?
I have said at home that I am probably going to stop.
My father looked at me in a strange way and I felt as if he wanted to keep me here. Maybe he still thinks I am not capable of working yet.
But have I not done enough to prove him I am more than ready?
I have built and created things for the air forces!
Well… okay, it is not that much compared to him but… I am only eighteen years old.
I don’t know.
But I will prove him I can do it.
“Dude, wanna come and watch the game?” Rhodey entered our room, in a much better mood than earlier that morning
“Which game?”
“C’mon, our school basketball game? It’s going to be a tough one…”
“Oh, well, sure”
I was not really interested, but at least, I would not be bored and alone for a while.
I have been tinkering around all day.
“Nice” he smiled as I approached him to leave
“How did the exam go?”
“Terribly, but it’s done know”
I smiled “Yeah”
“Is Maya still locking herself up?”
“Yeah…” I mumbled
“I’m sorry, Tony. She’s just stressing”
“I know, and not letting me help”
“You could not do anything, could you?”
“Well… I could help her… relaxing”
Rhodey chuckled “I got you”
“Hey Tony!” Someone greeted me as we crossed the halls. Those greetings are now very frequent, and it has happened on the streets, also.
“Stop” Rhodey suddenly frowned
“What the hell?” I looked at him “What’s wrong?”
“Don’t you have the feeling we’re being followed?”
I immediately looked back, then all over us “No.”
Rhodey observed the hall, still suspicious “Hmmm”
“C’mon, let’s go” I said, looking back once again.
Was I being followed?
Probably.
But we ended up ignoring it as we went to watch the game and, later on, returned with no problems back at my place
“Dude, I am starving”
