Traitor

I looked as Rhodes furiously walked over to me.

Actually, no, I didn’t.

Everything was way too fast for me to be able to even see anything at all.

I did feel it.

“You… f*cking… little…” he punched me, then kicked my stomach and threw me to the floor.

“RHODES!” Maya yelled.

“Step aside, you…” he quickly reached me again.

I felt his hands pushing my collars, but I couldn’t look at him

I could understand his anger.

I knew very well he liked Maya. And I still kissed her.

Well, technically, she kissed me.

Besides, I was a bloody fifteen year old kid who had never been kissed.

And Maya was… well… I don’t even know how to explain.

“STOP, RHODES!”

I laid on the floor, in a fetal position, waiting for more kicks from Rhodes, when I noticed they never came.

“Should I warn Mr. Rhodes how strong Dummy and U can be, sir?” Jarvis voice spoke.

“Tony…” Maya knelt next to me.

That was when I opened my eyes to see Dummy and U between me and Rhodes, who still looked furious and hurt.

My eyes looked away and I felt Maya touching my already swollen eye.

I moved away.

There was no need to keep Rhodey watching.

“Go, M-Maya” I whispered, looking away.

I would love to have a place to hide at that moment.

“I am not leaving you alone with…!”

“I’m not gonna do anything” Rhodes walked to his bed, where he laid down.

My hand held my bleeding nose as Dummy approached me with some tissues. I could feel the high pulse on my entire body, as well as the pain.

“I will… see you later, then” Maya kissed my cheek and started to leave

“What the f*ck is wrong with you, anyway?!” she snapped as she passed by Rhodes “We’re both free to do whatever we want.” She coldly said before leaving the room.

And she was right.

As far as I knew, Rhodes and her never got to have anything at all.

Still, the fact I knew he liked her still made me the traitor.

“Argh…” I groaned as I accepted U’s help, standing up.

I could feel Rhodes eyes on me.

“I’m sorry…” I whispered.

I’m not sure how many times I’ve said such words in my life.

Surely, not many.

*a few days later*

I might have missed some days of classes, after that incident with Rhodes.

My eye was purple and swollen and my body was still sore. And of course, I wouldn’t leave the room with my face in such state.

Rhodes never talked to me again. He would simply come home to sleep and leave to have classes without sharing a word.
