“if we didn't break up, ano kaya tayo ngayon?” brent asked, nahimasmasan na siya, but anikka knows na hindi niya pa ito maalala bukas.

“hmmm” simula ni anikka, piniga niya rin ang bimpo para punasan siya “sa tingin mo ba tayo pa rin?” anikka asked him again.

“siguro, wala naman akong balak hiwalayan ka eh.” brent said, anikka smiled while she was wiping his hand.

“eh bakit ka nakipag break?” anikka asked him, hinubad na ni yung shirt niya and she threw it sa hamper, brent laughed kasi nashoot niya iyun.

“I had to.” sabi ni brent, pinunasan niya yung balikat ni brent, namumula pa rin siya.

“why did you have to?” anikka asked habang pinipiga yung bimpo, brent frowned.

“kasi kawawa ka na.” sabi ni brent, anikka ran her hands through brents hair and she wiped his forehead and his face.

“mahal na mahal kita anikka, but hindi pa ako ready na pakasalan ka dati, gusto nilang lahat magpakasal na tayo, hindi pa ako ready.” brent explained, his tears flowing down, pinunasan ito ni anikka using her thumb.

“so? Sila naman yun, hindi naman ako nagmamadali, hindi ko naman sinabi na pakasalan mo ako agad” anikka explained, standing up to get a new shirt for brent, she already removed his pants and naka boxer nalang siya ngayon.

“but I heard you talk with chu, sabi mo you already see a future with me, sabi mo you wanted a family na.” brent said, ngumiti si anikka, parehong matalas ang pandinig nila.

“I wasn't ready to have that yet, unfair naman sa part mo yon.” sabi ni brent, he was slowly dozing off but he's fighting to be awake.

“mahal naman kita.” sabi ni anikka, fixing brent's hair.

“mahal rin kita pero hindi ko nakita ko yung future ko with you dati, kaya natakot ako, ang dami kong doubts, hanggang sa nilamon na ako ng doubts ko. Nakipag break ako sayo” brent explained, anikka fixed the blanket.

“tulog ka na brent.” sabi ni anikka, but brent was holding her hand and he was kissing it.

“basta ang alam ko lang anikka, mahal kita.” brent whispered, anikka removed her hand from his grasp and closed the lights.

The future was a scary thing, alam naman ni anikka yon, but she was sure of brent. Hearing brent say the real reason why he broke up with her, it tore her heart into pieces, but somehow, it also fixed her. Totoo nga na the truth will set you free.

“magandang umaga senyorito na chinito” bati ni anikka kay brent na kakalabas lang ng kanyang kwarto, brent opened his eyes.

“what happened?” brent asked, sitting in front of anikka who was cooking eggs and bacon with fried rice.

“pinilit mo na nga lang na sumama sa island tapos naglasing ka pa.” anikka explained, putting rice and some bacon on brent's plate.

“wala ka work?” tanong ni brent, waiting for anikka to sit beside him.

“absent.” sabi ni anikka, nanlaki ang mata ni brent.

“why?” he asked, naglagay si anikka ng gatas sa baso for her and she turned on the coffee maker.

“anong why? Nag iba ba timpla mo ng kape?” anikka asked Brent, umiling si brent.

“ikaw lang naman nakakagawa ng kape ko the way I like it.” brent said, anikka smiled as she handed the mug to brent.

“why absent nga?” brent asked, umupo na si anikka sa tabi ni brent and they started to eat.

“dating gawi.” maiksing sagot ni anikka kay brent.

“anikka.” brent said, anikka's eyes were trained on the window, she hummed in response to brent.

“magandang umaga.” brent whispered. Anikka smiled before taking another spoonful of rice.

Magandang umaga nga naman talaga kapag kasama mo ang mahal mo sa pagkain sa mesa.
