Winter in Berlin could get pretty cold. This year though, it was colder than normal. There were three weeks until Christmas and a blizzard had already hit!

And so, Y/N sat alone on the couch in the dark, because of said blizzard, since the power had gone out. They snuggled into the three blankets they had and fell asleep, waiting for their beloved boyfriend Germany to get home from work.

Unfortunately, the snow made it very hard for him to get home at all, with the roads being so bad, but he finally made it two hours later than normal.

He took off his coat, scarf, and hat, placing it on the holder. He peeked into the living room to see Y/N sleeping soundly on the couch with just one blanket; the other two strewn across the floor (presumably being kicked off in her sleep).

Germany smiled and picked the blankets up, putting them back on his lover. He went upstairs to the closet with spare bedding, getting every blanket in there.

When he came back downstairs, Y/N was awake. Their eyes brightened when they saw him and they smiled, "Ludwig!"

Germany smiled back, walking over and kissing Y/N's forehead. He sat next to them and pulled them close, hugging the blankets tightly.

The two fell asleep rather quickly, seeing as there was not much else to do, and blizzard raged on. It only got colder as it grew dark, and they found themselves needing not only blankets to keep them warm, but sheets, too.

Neither Y/N nor Germany were uncomfortable with the cold weather and lack of electricity, though. They could keep each other entertained, happy, and warm just fine. Playing board games was Y/N's favorite activity.

"Ich gewinne!"

However, Germany much preferred reading to his lover.

"After dinner they'd made tea and repaired to the drawing room. Sabu had stayed in the kitchen, but they'd left the doors open in case she wanted to join them. Some days she was more attached to them than others."
