It was Y/N's first Christmas with their boyfriend of two years, Canada, and they couldn't be more excited. Christmas was Y/N's favorite holiday, and it always made them feel warm and happy inside. Spending Christmas with Canada was making this feeling even stronger.

Today, Y/N was making a Christmas wreath to put on the front door (they always loved making it themselves rather than buying one). Unfortunately, Canada was unexpectedly called in to work, so Y/N had to make the wreath alone. That was okay though, it just meant they get to surprise him!

First, Y/N went over to the craft store. They bought lots of sticks for the base, and some of that fake green Christmas tree material. For the decorations, they bought a bit of golden tinsel, fake pine cones, fake maple leaves, ribbons, and the like. And, of course, somd hot glue sticks.

Y/N absolutely did not expect Canada's car to be in the driveway when they pulled in, but they weren't complaining. Sure, they couldn't surprose him, but they could have fun making it with him like the two had planned.

Y/N grabbed the bags of supplies and went inside, setting them on the dining table. Canada and Kuma were there, drinking a cup of hit chocolate. Canada looked at Y/N and smiled.

"I'm so glad you're here. I got off of work early." he said in his normal, soft-spoken voice.

Y/N smiled back, "That's great, Matt! Now we can make the wreath together."

The two started to unpack the materials while Kuma sat in a chair and stared at them. Y/N was never a fan of the polar bear, but dealt with it for Canada's sake.

The hardest part of making the wreath was always weaving the sticks to make the base and adding the fake evergreen material. Decorating was fun - this was just tedious.

Canada was very happy to find that Y/N had bought fake maple leaves to put on the wreath, "Feels nice to be remembered."

Once they were done, Y/N stood back and looked at the wreath. It was one of the best they had ever made - and they made wreaths every two years for Christmas.

Canada and Y/N hubg the wreath on their front door, stepped back, and smiled.

"Looks nice, eh?" Canada said.

"Fantastic." Y/N replied.

The two went back inside to make more hot chocolate and clean up the mini-mess they made when making the wreath. After that, they sat on the couch and snuggled up together.

"This has been my best Christmas so far, and it'd barely even the second week." Y/N said.

"Glad to hear it," Canada said, "I hope we can spend ever Christmas together from now on."

Y/N smiled softly, "That sounds lovely."
