Art is not mine.

Y/N squealed as Sweden set the Christmas ornament box down in the living room. They had been married for four years now and had spent Christmas together six years, and Y/N reacted the same way every time. There was something just so magical about decorating the Christmas tree to them.

They always started with the more boring ornaments, plain balls or eight identical snowmen. Some of these Y/N really liked - like the glittering blue, white and gold Wisemen ornaments or the red and green metallic nutcrackers. They held them up and smiled, "These are so cute, Berwald!"

He would always just hum in response and continue decorating.

Y/N didn't mind their husband's quiet nature - in fact, it was one of the reasons they fell for him. There was just something so cute about a big, scary man being so shy.

Once they were done with the 'boring' ornaments, they pulled out the box of unique ornaments that they had collected over the years. Ones they made in school as children or got as gifts in past Christmas'. Y/N liked these slightly more because they always brought back memories.

When they saw and ornament they remembered making or getting they'd smile and immediately know where to put it. When Sweden saw an ornament that brought back memories, he'd blink and recall that time while looking intently for a good place to put it.

Y/N was definitely one to talk while decorating the tree, but Sweden was not. Actually, it was that way with most of their relationship... anyways, that's why it was very weird when he suddenly spoke, "Do you remember this one?"

Y/N looked up at the ornament he held. It was two wreaths with little diamonds at the top to make them resemble rings with writing at the bottom that read 'First Christmas together - 2015'. They bought it during their first Christmas as a married couple.

Y/N smiled "Of course!"

Sweden gave a very small smiled, "It's my favorite."

"Mine too." Y/N replied.

When they were done putting on the ornaments, Sweden placed the star/angel on top, since it was easier for him. He turned on the lights and looked at the happy face of his lover.

"I'll never get tired of seeing such pretty Christmas trees," they said.

Sweden hummed again in response, as usual.

December 21st. Short again, I know, but I'm really tired so cut me some slack.
